  1. I'm from Michigan and will be moving to Fresno CA, once I finish with my ADN program in April 2010. I was wondering is it easier to pass the NCLEX in MI and transfer my license over to CA? What is the easiest way to go about this.... and does anyone know if there are a lot of jobs in the Fresno area. Here is MI most of the hospitals are on a hiring freeze!
  2. I'm taking Pharm at OCC. Thanks I'm going to need it. Yeah, lucky for you it transferred so you don't have to take it again.
  3. You'll do fine in your Nutrition class. Since you have your A&P done it should be an easy class for you. The professor I had, we had a lot of reading and quiz every week. We also had to do a presentation at the end of the semester on a health topic of our choice. Did you find Pharm hard? I'm a little nervous....today was my first day in class and it seems like a lot of info to know. Yeah, let me know how things go with your Nutrition class and good luck......again you'll be fine....if you can survive Pharmacology you'll do great in your Nutrition class.
  4. Congrats to you! I couldn't wait that long. I was told the waitlist was at least 3 years. How do you like it there?
  5. Yes, we had to pass with 80%. 80% was a 2.0.....they went by the nursing grading system. My professor was L. Borne. I'm starting the Nursing program at OCC in the Fall. Couldn't wait for Mott....their waiting list was way too long. I did almost all my pre-reqs there but transfered over to OCC. Congrats to you! How long were you on the waiting list? Have you taken Pharm yet? I'm doing that right now. I guess we are in the same boat huh? Good to know!
  6. I took it back in winter 2006!
  7. I took Nutrition at Mott and it was a lot of work for a 2 credit class. Sweeney must be a new instructor there. Good luck, you'll be fine!
  8. You should talk to a counsler at Mott. The last time I spoke to a the health director at Mott she said they were going to change a lot of things. I think for Mott to take your A&P class it has to be both 1 and 2 and 6 to 8 credits. Good luck and if you don't mind waiting, Mott is a very good school.
  9. Have you talked to the Nursing directors at Mott? First, they don't have a LPN program on it's own. Their LPN program is part of the RN program. Once you are accepted into their nursing program, after the first year you can take the LPN boards, and then continue on to the second year for your RN. You have the option to take the LPN boards......unlike some other school. I did all my pre-reqs there and had some friends in the program....from what they say, Mott has a really good Nursing program. I just can't wait that long......because they go by a waiting list. Good luck to you!
  10. I never had chem in High school too, and I was very nervous too. Chem 1000 is more of a beginners class and you'll learn everything from the beginning. I did very well and like the others said....make sure you have a good lab partner cause that would help!
  11. OCC goes by GPA! They just changed to GPA this year.
