Thanks a lot for all the input. I need to check into Miami valley because I heard they have some kind of thing going on with kettering medical regarding the RN program. I may wait until Hondros starts being able to take federal aid because Iv head some really good things about them.. Anyone else heard anything? I had almost decided to go to Miami Jacobs the day I found out about their accredidation... whew....

Does anyone know anything about Butler Tech? or know anyone that went there for nursing? I have not been able to find out much info on them. I have heard positive and negatives about Rets. It is such a big decision and I want to make an informed decision. I have read a lot of posts where people were very unhappy with thier school. I am so unsure of a lot of factors and don't really know what I need to be asking. If anyone has any advice I would greaty appreciate it... I have to say that there are a LOT of things about being a nurse that are very intimidating! lol

Yeah, its good money and great benefits. Unfortunately it is extremely physical with a lot of lifting and I just didnt think I could do it as I get older. Thanks a lot for the info on MUM. That is amazing that they have that many applicants. Like I said in my OP, I can see why there is such a big shortage of nurses. I got a call from Diane at Rets today and she said that they are possibly going to have a part time lpn program that is only a couple days a week. So, we'll see...

Thanks for the advice... I thought about checking in to Butler Tech and Miami U Middletown. The evenings at Rets would not be too bad. Unfortunately though my job is going to be difficult to work with because of my position. I have a management position with Aldi's and we only have 4 people in a store. They would not be cool with me not closing any through the week... Finding another job is not really an option either because I make 17$ an hr there and I really need to make that much to keep up with the bills.. I know that if there is a will there is a way though..
