  1. So I'm trying to get my BLS and ACLS certs renewal periods to sync up. I'm renewing my ACLS in January '19 but my BLS isn't up for renewal until 2020 (renewed it at the beginning of the year). Does anyone know if I can renew my BLS a year early so that both renewals will fall in the same year?
  2. Also, were you asked any situational questions (i.e. prioritizing: who would you see first)??
  3. Congrats to everyone who will be starting the program!! A quick question to you guys who are done with the interview process: I'm going for my interview for the StaRN program for the PCU at Memorial Hosp Tampa on Thursday and I'm really nervous about the behavioral questions. Are they very specific or more like they're wanting to see how you would handle yourself working on the unit? Any tips?? Sorry if it seems off topic from the original post, I haven't had enough postings and I'm not able to send PMs yet.
  4. Here's my situation. I just recently graduated with a Bs/Ba in Marketing. After working for just a few short months I realize business is not for me. I want to go back to what I had originally chose as a major - Nursing. Now that I've already graduated I'm lost as to how to get back to school. I don't understand how applications go and what's even needed. But I know I need to complete a few more prereqs like A/P before I can apply to a nursing school. And most improtantly, I don't know how to pay for it all. I'm currently looking for a new job as an admin assistant or desk clerk at a hospital/med office so I can reacquaint myself w/ a medical setting. I told my mom of my possible plans and she strongly recommended i don't go down that route (btw she's been a peds nurse for over 20 years now). I would love her support in my decision but I realize I may just have to pay for nursing school myself which I have no problems with. I'm just absolutely lost on what funds are available for someone in my situation. wondering if someone has been in my shoes or still is? how can i explain to my mom that I know now this is what I want? is anyone from the orlando, fl area that can refer me to accelerated programs or lpn/lvn programs or even of any avail jobs? any tips/advice is greatly appreciated! thanks everyone!
