  1. not far from Northern VA.... Winchester here!!!
  2. I would take classes that would help you get another degree rather than taking something that is just keeping you enrolled - Just for that Plan "B"... Phlebotomy is a good choice....gets you a little closer to your dream!!
  3. Hi - I'm new to this board as well - I actually start my 1st semester this summer! CAn't wait!! Like you, I am a stay-at-home mommy as well - 2yr old and 4yr old - I already have a "plan"....maybe this will help.... 1. Nap time - is cram time! lol 2. The kids wake up at 8 a.m., be up by 7 a.m. studying! 3. I don't let my girls watch T.V. but 2 times a day - from 45 mins - 1 hr each time - when they do get to watch it, they are distracted for at least 1 hr..: if you let them have at the TV constantly, it's not a "prize" to watch it.... 4. I have "book" time with my girls...once in the a.m- and in the p.m. - for at least 1/2 hr, they read or look at their own books quietly---(I do not read to them at this time) and this will hopefully help me out when I can join in and read my own "book"!!! 5. I plan on using my parents or my in-laws at least one day Sat./Sun. for a few hours for what ever is "left over" to do...Grandparents are GREAT!!! I hope this helps...
  4. Yeah, I'm taking the SOC online this semester! In class for the PSY. I heard that HLT130 was a lot of work, even though it's only 1 credit??? is that true? In the fall I'll be doing ENG 111 and PHI
  5. I've had the hardest time with their Financial Aid Department! I've called for the past 3 weeks almost every day. Not one person had called me until 7 p.m. yesterday! Now they don't know if they'll be able to process my financial aid because of their mistake. I've had to finally call the Director and speak her. Unbelieveable! Oh- I'm doing one of those classes online, and the other in the evenings... stay home with my children during the day.
  6. I hear ya! I'm in the same boat as you....have a few kids too.. I'm excited to start this program. I'm taking Psychology and Sociology this semester.
