  1. I have an interview for an ED internship in the next week. I'm wondering what questions will be asked and what questions I should ask of them? I have limited ED experience but completed my senior preceptorship in a level 1 trauma ICU that was attached to the ED. I'm ACLS and TNCC certified with PALS scheduled in the near future. Thanks in advance
  2. As a new grad in June 2009 in Portland, I will be looking to find work in the local area in a Med/Surg unit or in critical care in a hospital. Can any of you give a little compare and contrast to the local healthcare systems? What is good and bad about Legacy, Providence and Kaiser ? I am aware that we don't have the so-called "nursing shortage" in our area and that you have to start hustling for a job a little before your preceptorship begins and I'm prepared to do that. Just wondering where is a good place to set my sights on. Thanks in advance.
  3. It seems that in my ADN program, the advisors (which are all female) tend to be harder on the female students. This may just be my opinion and observation as a male student. But that could change as the second year will be starting in a few weeks.
