  1. AWESOME!!!! I'll see you soon! Are you going to the pre-orientation session on Tuesday?
  2. Just got accepted off the waitlist!!!! Soooooooooo excited. Felt I should share.
  3. WooHoo! Just got accepted off the waitlist!
  4. GPA - i'm would have to estimate on the cumulative because I dont' exactly know but it can't be under 3.9, English BA & BFA, Education MA from NYU, lots of college volunteer work with health department and AIDS organizations. All A's in sciences, but I'm still in the process of taking Micro this semster, so I'm sure that's what did me in.
  5. I applied for the ABSN and got waitlisted over a week ago. But I have a friend who hasn't heard back from the 2-year program yet either. That's kinda wierd! Why is it taking so long for some?
  6. I didn't get any info on waitlist ranking - just an offer of a position on it. I'm not holding my breath, though. I'm just gonna complete Micro and apply again. I guess it'll be good to take this time to take a breather between classes. I'm definitely going to speak with someone in admissions though - just to ask.
  7. Heard back today. I got waitlisted I guess I'll just finish my pre-req. this semester and apply for Jan.
  8. Got my letter todat. I got waitlisted I guess I'll apply again for Jan.
  9. I'm not sure that they chose to reapply, but one of them I spoke with said a friend of hers was in the same boat, reapplied and was accepted. So.... who knows! Hopefully we'll both hear something this week!
  10. I know what you mean about the pre-req. thing. I'm currently taking MICRO and I am certainly nervous that it could be a minus on my application. I have a few friends that were rejected last semester from the 24-month and they met with someone in nursing that confirmed that not having their pre-reqs finished was the factor. Though, from another friend I know, that is not the case 100% if the time because she was still working on 2 pre-reqs when she applied. I got the impression that she hoped they would be actually mailing the decisions this coming week. But she emphasized "hope." So the undergrad office may drag their feet a little, I think is what she was suggesting. Good luck to you too!!! I've got my fingers crossed for us both!
  11. Follow the link: http://nursing.unc.edu/admissions/application/prtbsn_instructions.html Read under "Outcome Notification" under the "Transfer/Readmit" section. This is what I'm basing my previous post on. It's all very vague and confusing though. Let me know what you think or how you interpret this.
  12. Wow, that's actually really weird that they were already notified that they didn't get in. I spoke with someone yesterday and she told me that they were hoping to mail out notifications this week. I have a friend that is a junior at UNC and she found out last week that she did get in. But I think current student selection is a different process. The big thing I'm confused about is how they say they will issue notifications of acceptance directly from the school for "the most highly rated applicants". Does that mean that if we're waiting to get the official letter from Undergrad admissions we didn't get in? Or maybe we did, we just were rated a bit lower than others? hmmm...
  13. I applied to the 14-month and am in the same boat as you. The person you know that got in - are they already a UNC student? If so, that makes a difference. If not, now I'm even more nervous!
  14. I've applied, but haven't heard back. I'm confused as to whether I'm waiting to hear back from undergrad admissions as the final say so, or if I didn't get a letter directly from the nursing school that means I didn't get in. Either way, I'm just as anxious!
