  1. CONGRATULATIONSSSSSS............YOU WERE STRONG!
  2. hi there, I used Kapan's textbook and Saunders to review topics that i was weak in i.e. GI/Renal and Endocrine. And i practiced a lot of questions, mostly from the Kaplan....i did the questions set 5,6,7 and averagely i got around 55s. So, not a great score, but most importantly, READ THE RATIONAL! I think i did almost 2000 questions before i i retake my board. It took me about 2 months of daily studying. Then, on the day of the board, DONT PANIC and take it as like another practice and you will be fine! Best of luck and im sure you can do it too, considering im not one of the most smartest one in the class.
  3. Hi there, Well, i used Kaplan's textbook as well as its online questions, and Saunder's only for topics that im weak at i.e. GI, Renal, Endocrine. Practice, practice, practice questions...thats the KEY word to be honest with you....Kaplan has very very good questions!!!!! And make sure you do the Question set 5,6 and 7. I didnt do too well but with only average 55s, and i still pass! I studied for about 2 months before i retook it. So, stay focus and take your time in the exam and dont panic or anything, just take it as another practice!!!! and you can do it! to be honest, im not the smartest one in class and i still made it..so you will too! Best of luck!
  4. Hey there, your story told the exact thing i did in my second attempt to take my board. I passed with 75 questions after all the hard works from saunders and kaplan. I wasn't the smartest student in class and i am glad that i studied my butt off and i think it pays off....now that im not only an RN, but one with more knowledge than i did before.
  5. Hi there, I was not the good student back in the nursing school and i think im the dumbest one of all actually, yet i still pass the second time. And i remember the hard time i had to go thru, so, i know exactly how u feel. Girl. listen...im pretty sure you have all the knowledge you need. but u definitely need the strategy to answer them correctly. After i failed for the first time, i studied my butt off and i took the Kaplan class too as well. They have very good review class in term of teaching you how to answer them strategically and the question banks are very useful...let me tell you how i succeed in the 2nd time round, i studied everyday..mostly practising questions from the Kaplan question banks, and also i used the Saunder's too...topics that i was weak at, i will use Saunders to review and if you were to take the Kaplan's review class, they will give you their textbook too as well..and that book is actually very good too. So, i would strongly advise you to consider that. Just give yourself another chance...you are close, considering you had 180 questions! Good luck!
  6. Hi all, Just took my board for the second time. and it shut me off at 75 questions with at least 20 SATAs or more.. and i just found out that i PASSED! Seriously, im one of the most incompetent students in the class i graduated with and i studied my butt off after the first attempt a couple of months ago..all i did was just practicing questions and i think i practiced for anywhere from 1800 - 2000 questions before i went in for the second time i sat for the board. So, good luck to everyone who is taking the board soon and best of luck! If i could do this, sure you guys will too!
  7. Hi there, I took mine a couple days ago and it shut off at 75 questions! and i had just as many SATAs as you did...and i thought for sure i failed....and i just found out that i PASSED! so, be positive...that is a very good sign because it is the highest level of difficulty! just relax and have fun...chances that you pass is there! Good luck!
  8. the last question is a myth...my friend still passed eventhough he answered the last one incorrectly..i am very sure of that. I just found out today that i passed with 75 questions. I just wanna tell you that just as long as you have lots of SATAs and priority questions...u r good! I had over 20 SATAs, im not kidding, lots of meds, just a variety of questions....good luck and be positive!
  9. i wish u luck....just go in with confident! i didnt make it the first time last month and im retaking it...im so worry that i wont make it either:(
  10. you sound like u had more difficult questions that i did...i think u had better chance to pass than i did...so, dont worry as much!:)
  11. so apex, did u end up passing or failing? yea, the worst thing to do is to face the failure upon all the other employees at work....i have started revising now....will do my best again, boy, not that i didnt study the last test..i did for about 8 days and 5-8 hours a day! guess that was not enough...gotto try harder this time. i didnt have any calculations questions but lots of meds with teachings and adverse reactions, priority questions, and delegation..and some eay questions too....i dont know...
  12. i need you guys' support..i failed with 75 questions! never thought i would fail...was pretty confident...guess i was wrong....
