  1. I started out in Monroe at 18.50 plus 4.00 night diff. A few months ago, they started paying us 2.50 for weekend diff. After my raise last year, I make little over $24 an hour. I also work PRN at another local hospital and it depends on how many hours you work a week. I signed up for 24 hrs a week. That pay scale is $30 an hour plus $4 night diff. That is working on telemetry. If you work the unit here, the pay starts at 36.00 plus night and weekend diff. Thats almost agency pay. If I didnt need the ins, I would quit my fulltime job and work all my hours PRN cause they are trying to get rid of agency nurses and they are still short staffed. I get called all the time to come in but cant cause of my fulltime job.
  2. Do you mind telling me what school you got into. Or what schools look at the last 60 hours hard. So i can focus on those. Thanks.
  3. I have a cumulative GPA of 2.745 with a BSN. Initially I was in prepharm taking prereqs. It took me 3 years to do that. I retook classes and still didnt get into my local pharm school. Then I went to nursing school. I plan to retake my inorganic, organic, micro, A&P, and take a Biochem class. If making all A's in these classes, that would bring my last 60 GPA up to about a 3.6. It is nearly impossible to bring the cumulative GPA because of the number of hours I accumulated throughout my college career. So I am wondering, will a 3.6 GPA of the last 60 hours and a good GRE score be competitive for admission to a CRNA school around the nation. I am willing to apply to any school that will give me consideration. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  4. My cumulative GPA is a 2.745 with a BSN. I was originally a pharmacy major and took prepharm classes that brought my GPA down. After 3 years of prereqs and 3 yrs of keep trying to get into my local pharm school, I switched to nursing. My final cum GPA is 2.745. I am planning to retake my inorganic, organic, micro, A&P, and Biochem. If making all A's in these courses, that would bring my last 60 hours GPA up to about a 3.6. Would that be enough and a strong GRE to be considered for admission to ANY CRNA school across the country. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Good luck. I took mine today as well. Mine turned off at 79 questions. I studied my "butt" off except the last 4 days to relax and be relaxed during the test. I was very relaxed. I still did not feel confident in what answers I was choosing. I have a pretty good of ob, 1 herb, a few meds. It was a pretty tough test. I did get my last question right but it was something from level 1 nursing school. So I dont feel that I passed it but can only play the waiting game now.
