  1. HI sorry, hadn't much time to look up the site. I applied but m waiting for my transcripts to be sent from my univ in malta so that they can give me a quick overview of what subjects i need to do before enrolling. Besides, ECE take years to process papers. They are so slow. Now, after the evaluator came back from like about a week's leave she realized that what she requested from me, was already sent to her. So practically she waisted 1 month of my time and now she said she has another 3weeks to do the whole lot. But anyways, I just thank God for the favor because USA is not very friendly with foreign degrees. They want people to do everything from scratch like I have to do. So what r u up to? DID u enroll?
  2. i am a midwife but can't practice as such as I don't have green card
  3. Hi to all, when i was reading this I felt a little guilty...when I checked AN, I found a note that said that I haven't posted a comment or thread fro some weeks. The truth of the matter is that I do check the site, but not always have the time to drop down a few lines. However, I must say that this website was a real blessing to me cause hwile reading, I was filled with encouragement to try. In fact, when I called Excelsior the first time, one of the Admission personell told me that I am not eligible for the course and that was really upsetting. My husband had this great idea to call back and another lady picked up and she said to fax the credentials and everything and she just gave me the news that I was hoping for. Now I am in the Applying phase, so all my transcripts are to be mailed from Malta (that is were I am coming from) and then I start to read for some of the electives or whatever I can start. Actually I am really excited to be starting "school" again. After some years taking care of two toddlers, you need a break and that is what excelsior means to me. So, I just thank everyone for giving his little info cause it helps others by far. Everyone, stay blessed and wish you the best.... malta:heartbeat
  4. hi to all. I must say that this site is wonderful and its what i needed at the right time. I am new to America. I am a licenced midwife and got my BSc from Europe. I worked in UK and now I am in NY. When I did my course evaluation with WES, they said that I have an equivalent american BSN with specialization in midwifery. Does anybody know whether I have to do some schooling again or I can do NCLEX. It seems like nobody knows exactly which path I need to take. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks :innerconf
