SEPTEMBER 2012 CPNRE Exam
I received a mail stating "You have met all the registration requirements for General class RPN" together with an Initial Registration form and payment form to be sent back to CNO. It doesn't say anything "PASS" but I think this letter means that I passed the exam? I'm sorry it's just that I want to see that word, "PASS" just like the others. Congratulations to all new RPNs!

Quebec nursing program
According to my colleagues, the French Language exam is pretty tough. It's like IELTS but on French. They would require oral, reading, writing, listening. It is given every 3 months. They say the hardest part is writing. I didnt take my french test yet. Anyway, you gonna have 4 years to learn and complete the french test. One of my Pinay co-worker (who transferred her Ontario license here in Quebec) took intensive High school french for 7 months. After completion, the OIIQ grant her Full RN license.

Quebec nursing program
I took the Transition for IENs Nursing Program last July-December 2009. First 3 months are theory and the rest are clinicals. You have a choice if you want to take it in an English or French system college. OR... find a clinical preceptor in a specific unit in a hospital. This preceptor will be given an evaluation grid that they will use if you've met satisfactory performance or competencies on each required criteria. Just wait for the OIIQ's letter regarding on their decision. I heard there were already some changes since the time I finished my course.

Waiting time to get License
I see... so it's still a 50/50 chance? I took my Nclex here in Montreal, Quebec. I don't know if it does affect the time before receving any news from Vermont BON. I tried to check my name on that license look up but nada... Still hoping for the best news. Thank you so much, I appreciate your help. :)

Waiting time to get License
Hi everyone. I took the Nclex on June 18. When I checked my results thru quick count it says, Pass. I just want to know if it's really a 100% that Vermont BON would send me a license? How long should I wait? A friend of mine claimed that he passed the nclex but the Vermont BON said that his score is not enough for them to issue a license. I dont know if it's true. Maybe I just need some clear info about this. I'm anxious. Thanks a lot :)

Help!RN from the Philippines want to apply as a nurse in Ontario, Canada.
i don't know on what area/s's lacking in our curriculum..and I wonder if all applications from the philppines (like in my case) receive the same fate? i've read that every province do have different criteria.. some of my friends became eligible in BC, Manitoba and Saskatchewan...they were telling me to apply there, but it's too far here in montreal.. To Silverdragon102: Yeah.. I think you're right.. It's just frustrating about what's happening on my applications.. even here in quebec, it's a slllooowww process..... i guess I have to be more patient.. Thanks anyways:D

I also had the same fate.. I received a letter from the CNO yesterday.. telling me that my BSN education in the Phil is not equivalent to their BSN.. They've also given me those two options.. I'm still trying to think on what should I choose.. i don't know if I could provide them a description of my work experience cause I still don't have one.. or additional courses.. I graduated last 2007.. wan't able to get a job.. I went here in canada just this may. (Montreal, Quebec) I just need some advice...thank you so much!
