I am starting clinicals in the Fall and have been looking at scrubs to see what I like. I am a plus size women and have no problem in the pants...I take an XL but then have to have them hemmed because they are so long. As far as the top goes...this is where the problem comes in. My school uses Landau and Urbane scrubs...and I find that I take a 3X because of the chest...the problem is then that there is a ton of material in the stomach area that it hangs all weird and sticks out and almost makes me look preggers. I guess I can just have it taken in in the stomach area though. Does anyone else have this problem? What are your suggestions? What are good brands for us bigger gals for after clinicals? Thanks!
I have to say all the news about a possible swine flu pandemic scares the living daylights out of me. I had a friend call me and say she is getting food, water, everything imaginable (face masks!) together. I wonder if this is all being blown out of proportion or just how worried I should be....Just wondering if anyone is preparing and what you are doing exactly?
Hi! I am new to the board and am seriously considering becoming a nurse! But it seems like there are wait lists everywhere! I live in St. Louis and it seems that every nursing program has a wait lists of about 2-3 years that you can't even get on until you finish all your pre -reqs! I wouldn't mind going away to school...but nothing to far..only a few hours or so! Does anyone have any advice on how to find good programs without wait lists or at least shorter ones? It's very frustrating...Between the time I would finish the pre-reqs and then the 2-3 years of waiting...what am I supposed to do? It would feel like I am just wasting time! Thanks so much!
