  1. ok, 12 more to go...haha, thx for the info Irishman.
  2. Chihmom8, Congrats to you in beginning your nursing journey. Seriously, before you know, you'll be in the thick of it and working through the program. Good idea on getting all your co-reqs done beforehand. The nursing classes are challenging and most would agree that being able to focus on them solely is extremely beneficial. All of my clinical experiences have been great. CG is a bit slow, but that was my first clinical, so it was a nice way to ease into the nursing role. Maricopa is AWESOME. There is such diversity there, I learned so much. Yes, all of my clinicals have been at hospitals, but I know some have had hospice as well as time in clinics. You will always have one lecture day. Each semester is different after that. Your first semester will have a few more days spent on campus for lab practicums, etc and your second semester will include a day for Pharmacology lecture (not the whole day though). Again, things can always change, so staying flexible is the name of the game. There have been recent administrative changes, so things might be shuffled a bit. Let me know if you have any other questions. If you want to PM me your email, I will email you from my personal email. Good luck to you.
  3. Rhcmarrie, I got your PM but for the life of me, can't figure out how to reply to it. If you feel comfortable, can you PM me your email and I will be more than happy to respond to your questions about the program. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
  4. Congratulations on getting in. I think you will enjoy it. It's a small town atmosphere with some fabulous professors. I am beginning my 3rd semester and have had clinicals at Casa Grande, PHX Children's and Maricopa Medical (Downtown). I know other sites are Banner Thunderbird (West Side!!!), Banner Baywood. There is even talk about going down Tucson way. Basically, clinical sites are so hard to come by that you take what you get and don't complain about it (well you can complain but it won't change anything!). PM me if you have any other specific questions and congrats again!
