  1. Thank you Rose_Queen! REading it now!
  2. kiddos are 16 and 9! So no babies to contend with!
  3. So since I became a nurse in 2005 I have worked M-F 11a-7p or 7a-3p in the OR and I am finally making the jump to the ED on nights and I am stoked, but also nervous! I am 38, married with two kiddos and nervous about SLEEP! I am one of those people that NEED their sleep and others NEED me to have my sleep! So with that being said, any suggestions on how to arrange my schedule...... is it best to do my 3 12's in a row? Seriously any suggestions welcome! Any other advice/suggestions about going to the ER is also welcome. After working in the OR I have forgotten/lost majority of my nursing skills so I am willing to take it all in! Thanks so much! - Michele
  4. I feel like I am the definition of a nursing student mother...... I am sure we all feel that way!!!!!! :chuckle Michele
  5. So what job are you looking to do in the Reserves? Also, remember GI bill should help with finances significantly! Are you seriously interested in nursing or have you ever considered becoming a Paramedic. Just trying to get a feel for where you are coming from to know the best advice I should give!!!!! Also, have you noticed how much you miss the military! Mainly the benefits!!!!! Real world insurance sucks and civillians are a whole other breed..... I am sure you understand!!!!!!
  6. These are great and cannot wait until next semester when I can put my own little.... you know your in nursing school when.... Keep it up, it's fun to read!!!!! Michele
  7. This is a great Post... I love it!!!!!!! (and appreciate it)!
  8. Are you 100% sure that the nursing program will accept an online A&P class? I know our school has very strict rules about this and I would hate for you to take them and then find out the program will not accept them. Best of luck to you!!!!!! Michele
  9. Hey Jason2311, I was in the Air Force for 10 years (intel career field - Predator) and it has always been my dream to get my Nursing Degree! I would love to give you advice, but before I do.... what did you do in the MC? Michele
  10. My sister-in-law has her BSN and she told me that RN's make the same amount. Just like everyone stated you can't management until you get your BSN, but like a few others I am getting my RN and then after a year or two experience under my belt I will go to a RN to BSN program! Michele
  11. Hello All... This is officially my first post and I am happy to post that I recieved my acceptance letter today to start the Nursing program in August 2008!!!! I am so excited I can hardly stand it. Now the true test is to come.... 2 kids and a husband that is a fireman (so he is gone often). But guess what... this is my dream and I will not let anything stop me!!!!!!! Good luck to all of you who are waiting on word of acceptance! Michele
