getting your RN in a state you don't live in
you can sit for the NCLEX exam in any state, all you have to do is pick the state u want your lisence from when u apply for NCLEX initially. Thats what I did.

What is Telemetry nursing?
basic arrhythmia class should be good for a general tele floor. these days in college that is included in your courses and so when u r out of college you can directly apply for tele floors. The tele classes are simple and not bad at all..

"If you sit down and chart for more than 15 minutes, that's considered a break"
that is ridiculous...i have never heard of such rules..the place that I work @ management is really good...for 12 hr shift we get 1 half hour and 2 15min breaks...and if we want we can combine the half hour with one 15 min total of 45 minutes for lunch. No body checks on if u are sitting around or taking long breaks...as long as u chart appropriately and get ur job done they dont bother you....good luck with ur letter to the CEO

day 6 start of week 3 as a new rn and i was about to quit!!!!!!!!!!
hang in there..and with time you will get the routine down and will be more fluent in what u r doing and plus will biuild up more confidence...yea..if i were u i would ask my manager to change my preceptor so u can learn the way u feel comfortable by...other thing u can do is make a list of things u need to do so u dont frget...everybody faces challenges when u first start..be it ur preceptor or just getting the routine down....take it one day @ a time and u should do fine...good luck

US nurse moving to Brisbane
[color=#333333]hi kirrig, [color=#333333] [color=#333333]thank you so much for taking the time to post these info. i appreciate it!!! [color=#333333] [color=#333333]i was offered a rn position at wesley hospital, auchenflower, brisbane. i am looking for housing closer to work because i have to totally depend on public transportation at least for a few months. i don't mind paying little extra for apartments in good neighborhoods. since i will be travelling alone and it is my first time out of the country, safety is a big concern. the big question for me right now is where (which area) to look for apartments that are safe and well connected to public transportation? downtown, suburbs, east/west or north/south? any advice will be greatly appreciated.

US nurse moving to Brisbane
I was recently offered a job @ a hospital in Brisbane. I am currently working as an RN in the USA. Looking to move to AZ sometime in July. I am moving by myself. I am currently looking for apartments in brisbane and was wondering if anybody would give me a little info on a good and reliable website for rental apts. And also what is the average amount people pay for a decent apt? How is the transportation system there? do people usually drive or use public transportion? thank you in advance..

Transportation in alberta
I am shipping my vehicle via a company called Hansen's. http://www.lhf.com/ Quick question for GN status: Alberta (CARNA) has GN permit for 6 months initially and can be renewed twice, altogether 18mo total. I know they allow 3 chances to pass CRNE exam, but once I am already working as a GN and if I fail the CRNE for the first time, will I still be allowed to work as a GN? Little confused.....clarifications will be appreciated!!

Transportation in alberta
I am a U.S. nurse and recently applied to CARNA, Alberta!!! They have already cashed my initial assessment & application fee, but it is almost a month now and they haven't sent me an username and password for online a/c-I just want to check what documents they have received so far:uhoh3: Does any one know how long they generally take? Anyone who have applied to CARNA recently? HolyHell, you mentioned abt shipping your car to Canada! Have you come accross any reliable company to help ship your car so far? Anyone who have good or bad experience with Mercan Recruit? Capital Health suggested me to contact them, but I am feeling little uncomfortable especially when I found out that they have contracts-I don't know for how long though!! Any inputs will be great! Thanks.
