  1. Hi everyone! I took my exam today and felt horrible after! I did all 265 questions. I tried the PVT but changed the expiration date for fear of getting charged the $200. I did get the good pop up though...i still feel uneasy. Do you think the PVT is still true even if I used an invalid expiration date?
  2. Thank you for your responses, you guys have been a big help! =] I was actually thinking about living on campus, however the price of Stiles was bothering me and also the fact that I had to bring my own furniture. Its good to know that I will only be on campus alot during the 1st quarter...and I have heard that clinicals are all over the place. With the money for housing, I might as well try to invest in a new car instead, lol. Thanks again for your input!
  3. thanks juniata! So you live in Stiles? I was actually considering living there as well since the approx. cost that drexel had given me included on campus housing. But I was worried about moving everything in, how much furniture I would really need, etc. I understand they all come unfurnished? I never moved out on my own because I live with family still. How is the apartment like?
  4. hey everyone, just wanted to check back in and see if any of you received their financial breakdown of how much our program is gonna cost us. I got mine a couple weeks ago and I only received about $7500 from the government. an approximate total of how much everything was going to be was about $42,000 (because it included housing, commute, books, uniforms, etc). Have any of you looked into where you were going to take your loans out? What is everyone doing about housing? I live in the northeast with family and near the Regional Rail which I could take to Suburban Station, but I wasn't sure if living closer to campus would work better in my favor, especially for studying purposes and class times. I also have access to a car, so another option would be to drive everyday, but I imagine parking to be a hassle and becoming expensive as well. Any ideas? -jo
  5. hey guys, I just completed my FAFSA a couple weeks ago...should I expect more information from Drexel or should I just apply for loans?
  6. good luck juniata!! keep us posted on your experiences!! =]
  7. hi all! =] I received my acceptance letter in November and sent in my deposit late December. I'm on a provisional acceptance, since I am currently still attending a different school and will be graduating in May. I received contact info on an academic adviser and also more info about housing and other resources available once attending drexel. I got the other packet with the hiusing info and such after I sent in my deposit...so I'm sure you all will also. As for living arrangements, fortunately I still live near close to the campus so I wont have to live on campus. The next thing to worry about now is how I will be paying for it, so I'm looking for more info about I'm excited, yet nervous and scared because of all the information other ACErs talked about...but I guess we'll have to do our best right? If i receive any other info I'll try to keep you all updated. I look forward to meeting you all in the fall! =] jojo
  8. Congratulations to everyone with their provisional acceptances! I look forward to meeting everyone in the fall! I received my transcript review sheet back and they accepted all of my classes..the only thing missing is 78 credits worth of classes (I'm assuming I have enough since I will be graduating in May)...I also sent in my $500 deposit just the other day but I don't know when I should start applying for loans. As for housing, I really wanted to live somewhere near the school, however that probably would not benefit me much especially if our clinical sites were gonna be all over the place. So to save alot of money, I'm gonna stay at home with family.
  9. well we only have 40 days to make a decision and make a deposit...now im just gonna play devil's advocate...but what IF you didnt get into the other school? and drexel wasnt an option anymore because you never confirmed within the 40 days. and what it comes down to was just securing ur spot for 500 dollars. and yes, 500 is a lot of money, but you at least have a secure plan that way. for me, drexel just made my decision easier...I was anticipating going to jefferson, but i havent heard back yet, and i still would have to take a chem II next semester (which i was DREADING) but since i got an acceptance, i dont have to go thru the agony of chemistry anymore lol. i mean my decision isnt as hard as yours, but just think about it....and after all drexel is a really great school. :) good luck!
  10. That's awesome, at least you have solid plan and don't have to worry about living arrangements. I've only been to the west coast once...my family and I flew to Seattle only to drive from there to Vancouver, Canada...and it was at night so I didn't get to enjoy it much lol. But I've lived in Philly most of my life...I love this city, and it only got better these past few weeks because of the PHILLIES!!!! and the victory parade!! :yeah:It was great! Well good luck, I hope you get your acceptance letter soon! Then all of us future ACErs can celebrate before all the nursing madness begins lol
  11. thanks j4. wow ur from the west coast? what made u decide to apply to drexel? just curious if u dont mind me asking. =]
  12. i received my provisional acceptance today!!!!! i couldnt be any happier!!!! but i have to be careful and do well the rest of this semester and next semester and maintain my GPA in order to keep the acceptance...im still finishing up prereqs and they are going to send me a list of what other classes I need to take before august. im sure u all will get letters soon also! good luck!
  13. I called their office a couple days ago and the lady told me that they just finalized their list of applicants, so they have to review them which will take about 2 weeks, and so we should wait for a decision within 4 weeks or so. I'm anxious! I wonder why it takes so long?
  14. Has anyone who applied to the ACE program for Fall 2009 get any responses yet?
  15. Since they are behind on applications, does that mean the people who havent heard yet should just be patient? I know that the decision date was yesterday, but since they are behind should we disregard that?
