Can't find a job
I graduated LVN school in December, and passed my NCLEX this summer and recently received my License. I have applied to several places in person and online through monster.com. I call back to follow up on my application and no luck. My schools job placement department does nothing but call me and ask if I got a job yet. Recently a friend from School who is working, called me up and told me that he was going to quit his job because he got another job somewhere else. He said he would recommend me and told me to apply. I went that day and I applied and they were expecting me, so I felt excited that this finally will be it and I will get hired. I call back a few days later and I get a rude vibe from the lady, I call again today and she says she already hired somebody else. I'm really frustrated and don't understand why I'm having so much trouble. When I started I was told all kinds of things about high pay and being in high demand and all kinds of things, I don't understand how there is a nursing shortage when I apply to many places and get not one call back. sorry for the rant, and I realize that I'm not perfect and I'm probably doing something wrong but still it shouldn't be this hard especially with the whole "nursing shortage".

Took the NCLEX
Is it a bad sign if I didn't get many Select all that apply questions ?

Took the NCLEX
I just took the NCLEX on May 1st. I came out so overwhelmed and with a weird feeling about the test. I had no idea how I did, but I was really scared. The test stopped at 85 questions. I have since read a lot of things here on allnurses and I've been told that stopping at 85 questions is a really good sign, and the vast majority pass with 85. I am worried that I failed because I didn't get many Select all that apply questions, and I think if I was getting them right and getting harder questions that I should have received way more of them. I'm scared.

I need help on how to be a CNA in California
I just finished LVN school last month and I want to start working as a CNA while I wait to take my nclex and finally get my license. I currently work at the food court not getting many hours, and I would like to work as a CNA to get more experience before I get my LVN license. I've been told that since I already finished LVN school, I am qualified to be a CNA I just have to challenge the exam and get certified but I don't know where or how. I've found on google where to take CNA classes but not where to challenge the CNA exam. I've looked on google and asked my school job placement department but I have had no luck. I'm hoping you guys can help. Thanks
