  1. when you email your resume you will get an automatic response about receiving lots of resumes and so forth. Follow up with a phone call to the nurse recruiter by name. Then show up and say I understand you are very busy and I just wanted to make sure you got my resume. Sometimes you have to persist.
  2. I have thought of it but you know how they say always get atleast a year of med/surg. thanks for your answer
  3. Hey guys I just graduated from LIU and I will tell you this its easy to get in and hard to stay in. The entrance Hesi is a piece of cake you will do well I have not heard of anyone one not passing. To stay in you have to study hard you can't not just get by. They have exit Hesi for each semester inorder to advance so you always have to be on top of your game. If you are hard working and passionate you will succeed. Good luck

I recently passed my NCLEX and have being looking for a job for the past month with no success. I have applied to 7 hospitals and have only gotten one call from one. I always get the same answer-we are looking through the applications we will call you if something comes up. It have been very frustrating and depressing because the way things are going I wont be able to get a job till May. The one hospital that I have interviewed for is on a pulmonary unit working with vent pts. I know I will get lots of experience working there but my heart is not in it because I want to be in peds a year after med/surg. I dont know if I should wait for something or go through it for the experience then walk away after a year. I dont know much about vents and I am afraid it will prove too much where i will have to leave before a year. Another thing is I need money badly. Any thoughts anyone.
  5. never mind I just found it
  6. I am waiting for my ATT hopefully I will get it the end of the month. I just joined this forum and I have been hearing about Suzanne's plan. I cant access because I need to be a premium member and I have no money as of now. I have been studying since I graduated in December using the saunders Cd about 100 questions a day. Can anyone tell me if I am doing enough?
  7. Hello all, I recently graduated and waiting to take my nclex soon. I am in a bit of a dilemma though I can't seem to decide where I want to work city or private. I need someone to break it down for me why one is better than the other. Starting pay is not a factor right now.I also need to know if anyone knows any hospital who hires new grads for the day shift. Thank you all so much
