  1. I got the syllabus for techniques and health assessment, but nothing for concepts. I got everything from blackboard, under course documents(I think). I kinda searched around for everything. I'm in section 5 and I live in Middleburg. Off to bed. Have a good night.
  2. Stat-line industries Inc. 2050 Haines St 904-356-6543 [email protected] I would call or email and get directions. I had a GPS and thought I would be able to find it but I got lost(with help). I think it is right off of Arlington Expressway......definitely get directions from them.
  3. Tsayuga that website was really cute. Did you guys see that MRSA had a cape?
  4. don't worry. i don't think she really cared because ms. tookes actually told me that a lot of the other students were getting the iclicker with no problem. the main reason she warns you is that you will have to come out of pocket for next term on your books. from the way she said it though regardless of whether you use the voucher to get the iclicker you are going to have to come out of pocket next term. we only get 800.00 for 1st term and we have already spent anywhere from 90.00-130.00(if you get the iclicker) over that. we get 200.00 for 2nd term so we only have 110.00-70.00 left. either way she told me to try to get it on my own but didn't say that i absolutely had too.
  5. Everything is in. 39.86 total. :)
  6. Yep that's it. If you see Ms. Tookes first then she will give you the sheet to take with you to get the booklist. I think Ms. Tookes said it was up to the bookstore because technically the iclicker is "supplies" not books. I specified that I wanted the iclicker seperately but I have a feeling that it was all going to be included anyway.
  7. So I met with Ms. Tookes today and she was really cool. She is under a lot of pressure right now to get everyone entered. One thing I wasn't aware of...you have to get your list of books from the bookstore then go back and get the voucher from Ms. Tookes then go back to the bookstore and have them fax the voucher to Kent campus, wait 30min(or so) then you can get your books. It was frustrating but I was just so excited about getting the books. I hope this helps. I didn't want anyone else to get surprised like I was cause I had no idea. Oh and Ms. Tookes told me to pay for the iClicker seperately because most everyone was only allotted 800.00 for books first time and it adds up to 890.00(for books not including the iclicker). It eats into money for next term. We get 200.00 2nd term, so 90.00 of that is already gone.
  8. Do they have the books individually? I scheduled to meet with Ms Tukes today becuase I thought all the books were in. I really don't want to have to go back again. Too much gas for driving from middleburg to there and back.
  9. I had to share because molse and bsilva were asking about worksource....well I met with Mary Ann last wed, apparently a day after ya'll because she talked about both of you while I was there(all good of course). I was going to call today if I didn't hear anything because I was stressed about paying tuition and getting my books to study. Well I decided to check my payments on artemis because molse went and checked hers and as I was noticing that I had a zero balance as I am doing this I get a phone call from North campus worksource asking me to come in to finalize my stuff with them. Yay!!! So now I am officially enrolled and I am going up to get my books today.
  10. Hey guys! With all the glitches I think I am going to wait until this afternoon to register. For those of you that have registered though....We can wait to pay on the 14th right? I have not heard back from Worksource yet and want to register but not if I have to pay right away cause(obviously) I don't have the money.
  11. I agree. I feel we could have had more time, but either way I am happy with what I got. I chose session 5 since OPMC is closer to me and it gives me Fri, Sat and Sun off. :) Now I just hope the Worksource thing goes through cause payment is due on the 14th.
  12. What's the matter? You couldn't tell I was continuing with the joke? People cannot see laughter nor can they hear the sarcasm in your voice when you make certain comments. Sorry if I made anyone uncomfortable with my honesty. I certainly did not want to offend anyone and I am not about causing trouble.
  13. For her sake I hope that she is not a midget or super skinney otherwise she might take offense. Which leads to the question...If it means you're chubby, does it mean you should eat less?
  14. Okay, so if my math is right(fingers crossed)....... I got 119pts from the Nat. If I take the .64 away it is 76.16. I don't have my original test results(I accidentally threw them away), but I do remember that each question was worth a point. I am thinking that you can get a total of 100pts and then multiply that by the .64(or however you do it), but you can only get a total of 120 to apply towards your total points for the program. I am pretty sure this it accurate, but I could be off. I was always much better at science than math, if I had my scores I could show you(HA!) I hope that this helps.
  15. For those of you who got your titers drawn at Northside, how long did it take to get the results back? Is it really reasonable to get the ppd done and then go back to get the results? I live in Middleburg. I can't drive up there three different times just to get all my stuff. Thank you. :)
  16. I live in Clay and I checked with the health dept here. The only thing I could get from them was tetorifice. They don't do titers, or ppd. They don't even do physicals. I was like what exactly do you do? Northside Med is probably the cheapest place to get everything done. I was going to go to solantic for the physical and get the tetorifice from the health dept but when I compared prices, it really was a lot cheaper and since you have to go there for you drug screen anyway.....They are walk in so no appt necessary. Their phone #764-5000.
  17. Actually it states in the forms that as long as you have reciepts showing that you are getting the Hep B series of shots they will still let you in. You can do either, or......sign the declination or start your series of 3 shots to be completed by week 8 when we start clinicals. In our paperwork it says to be completed by Oct 13. Okay I just counted. Even if you start your shots today it says final shot to be administered by 16-24 wks. Oct 13 only gives of 14wks starting today. So unless they say otherwise we might all be turning in the declination form.
  18. Thank you for the answers everyone. Decisions, decisions. I was so looking forward to being able to get everything now that I know what I need it seems overwhelming. Good night everyone.
  19. Okay so we can get the white pants from somewhere other than Meridys, but there is something also about khakis....Can we just get any khakis(like old navy)? To a certain extent it is part of another uniform so I can understand wanting everyone to look "uniform." Also does anyone happen to know what the grand total for everything for first semester is going to be(books, tuition, etc.)? Just a round number would be nice. Oh and when you guys went to have your titers drawn at Northside Med was it immediate that you got the positive result or was it something they had to send off and you would find out later? The reason that I ask is becuase I am not sure that I have Hep B vacc. My dad is going to be able to draw my blood for the titers on the 21st and then he will have to send off for 2 of the tests so I will have to wait 2-4 days to get results back. I don't know if I have the patience for that but it is free if I do it through him. Otherwise I go through Northside, etc. Thank you.
  20. Could you tell me what med term book to get? I don't really plan on going crazy with preparation or anything, but it gives me something to focus on other than when(and if) I get an acceptance letter. Besides I am also driving to TX in July and it would be nice to have something to do.
  21. Okay so the deadline has passed and I am ready for my acceptance letter. I am also applying for fall 08. Navywifeim and I had the same a&p 1 and 2 and the same Micro. Congradulations to all who got in and good luck to all applying. I am nervous and excited and anxious. I just hope I don't explode. Thanks for all the great info. It helps to ease my mind about expectations.
