taken boards twice
I'm as nurse! It took me 2x's, but I owe it all to Kaplan. I took their on-line course and did all of the questions and tests. Kaplan really helped me understand how to read the questions and how important it was to read each answer. The Kaplan "Question Review" was awesome. I tried ATI. It wasn't helpful and I wasn't successful the first time. I did have to spend the money for the on-line course, but it was worth it and as I worked through I had a feeling that I would pass the second time. Don't despair! Try Kaplan and do the work on the course.

Virtual ATI?
I started using Virtual ATI, but was unclear as to what I needed to study and how to go about it. I graduated in May and took the NCLEX in June about 1 month after graduation. My virtual ATI advisor told me that according to the ATI Comprehensive Predictor test, I needed a few more weeks to study and I didn't listen and took it anyway. Needless to say I didn't pass. So now I'm hoping to get a more focused study plan with ATI. You can create a study guide from your comprehensive predictor test which will guide your study. I didn't know about this study guide until 4 days before I took the test. I received the information much too late. I'm now thinking about doing a 4 day review at a local university and continuing with my study plan with the virtual ATI. Keep doing your Saunders questions, 100 a day and review your week areas. Hope that helped a little.

Virtual ATI?
I'm curious about what a Kaplan class does that's more effective than ATI?

Virtual ATI?
Virtual ATI costs $249 for already existing users where the program was used by the school. We have several volumes of content area that corresponds to each nursing specialty. Fundamentals, Pharmacology, care of children, Leadership, Psychiatric nursing, etc. There are many other packages you can use in ATI. After every subject at our school, an ATI test was given and we needed to reach a benchmark grade that would predict our success on the NCLEX. I'm doing it because it gives me a focused plan and a mentor. I'm also using the Saunders NCLEX book to get in more questions. Best of luck!

Virtual ATI?
I just graduated in May and am using virtual ATI. I find it helpful to have a focused plan and a mentor as well as a plan for what to study. Do 100 questions a day! Before I started the course, I was completely overwhelmed. I'll take the NCLEX in June and will let you know the results.

New grad, want to work in Cath Lab! Need advice.
hi evryone, I'll be graduating in May and am doing a 40 hour clinical rotation in the cath lab. We have about 10 ops. and do interventional cases, and just about everything. I would love to work in the lab,as I'm hooked on the adrenaline rush. I'm being told that I must do some time in critical care first. Any advice one what jobs to apply for first?.....
