help.. i heard from a US agency that work experiences from middle east countries are not recommended because it would be difficult to get a police clearance and other release documents to work in the united states? and it would be better to get a work experience here in the Philippines. how true is that? cause we are planning to go to Abu Dhabi this late July for a job opportunity in a government hospital there. can you give us some insights? thanks in advance! =)

i think the one she'll be studying online will be the theoretical parts of nursing only. the practicum would be done separately. she's asking me what subjects should she take while she's still not in the States so by the time she gets there, she could already start with the formal RN study. thanks for the reply. =)

hello, i need information on how to study a degree in Nursing online. my cousin studied her High School in the Philippines and she's planning to enroll in an online nursing school to become an RN in the States. she's already an American citizen. we want to know all the details she needs to start her study in any online nursing school.. what course should she take (does she need to take LPN first or can she go straight to AS-RN?) the prerequisite subjects to study RN other documents she needs to gather any other info we need to knowshe's in Japan right now and wants to take her prerequisite/minor subjects so by the time she goes to California, she can already start her RN study. anyone help us here? thanks.

first, you have to find an institution that offers IV therapy then undergo the 3-day seminar/training of IVT. the institution will give you a certificate of attendance for that. second, complete your cases. there is a format. it consists of 6 IV Insertion with fluid incorporation, 6 IV drug administration, and 2 Blood Transfusions. Make sure that the form is signed by the signatories indicated in the form e.g. witness, nursing service director. third, photocopy your PRC license, Certificate of Attendance, and IVT completed form (the one in the 2nd step). prepare 350 pesos for the fee. +P100 if you want it delivered to your home. Fourth, submit your requirements to ANSAP either in person or through your training institution. ANSAP Office G/F Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Tel. No. (02) 7163901 loc. 383 Direction: From Shaw Boulevard, go to end of fly over (starmall side). Ride a jeep going to Quiapo. You'll see Lourdes hospital in your left side. From Quiapo, ride a jeep going to Pasig. Lourdes is in your right side.

i think the academy truly exists.. it's just that the offer is suspicious and at the same time i also realized that why would i go down to the level of a carer if i already have the BSN degree.. so i think i'll just try on the other countries like in middle east. i heard you just have to go there to look for work using a tourist visa, and once you have an employer, your visa will be shifted to a working one.. well that's what i heard.. you may wanna confirm this if you're interested. btw, i'm from the Philippines too. =)

(and to Silverdragon102 and XB9S too) your response was very detailed. i will show this to my mom so she could think about it. i too am uncertain and suspicious of that offer but that offer was recommended by a close friend. i'll make sure to double check it with the embassy. thanks for all the advices. thanks for the supporting info.. yes, the agency said i'll be using the student visa.. they said that i'll work 20 hours for the curriculum and another 20 hours for the part-time.. they also said i could avail of an overtime too to get more pay.. silverdragon and your information made things clearer for me.. i'll just do some follow up if ever i have another question. thank you again.. :wink2:

okay i'll just check with the embassy.. a friend had just left last month to study in School of London.. same, he's taking the NVQ and he said he's working as a carer.. this really puzzles me as this friend testified that the agency services are real.. but i'll do check with the embassy to be sure. thanks a lot! =)

thanks for the link. =) well actually an agency said they will help me get an NVQ certificate through studying in Pyridion.. I will be able to study and at the same time work as a "care giver" with a salary of 5.5 pounds an hour for two years.. how possible is that? they also added that having an NVQ cert would be an advantage if ever i'll work in US or Australia.. how true is that? thanks for entertaining my queries..
