  1. I work three 12 hours shifts; Thurs, Fri, and Sat every week. I've kept this schedule for over two years and it works out well. I also have 3 children and it works with them too.
  2. I have been an LPN for 18 years and am finishing my prereqs this semester. I start the LPN to BSN program in October 2008 at a traditional college. I agree with the many posts that I couldn't have done this when I was younger. Now I take things much more seriously but I also don't fret over getting an "A" or "B". I do the best I can do while raising a family and working full-time. I don't want this to be a burden or take a lot of time away from my children. They are only young once and I want to enjoy my time with them. I am hoping getting the RN will broaden my horizens and give me more opportunities than are available to me right now.
