  5. I've been calling the Tulane Life Support center for a few days now and no answer!! Does anyone know of another place that offers the CPR class that we need for charity? I have to get this done soon! thanks
  6. Awesome!! Thanks!!
  7. Wow that really sucks for your friend. I'm sure that must be a hassle! Thanks for the info. I will keep it in mind!
  8. Hello, I live in New Orleans and I start nursing school at Charity in Jan. I was wondering which hospitals are the best to do clinicals at. I've heard that Touro isn't the best place because of the clinical instructor there! Registration is in about 2 weeks so I have to have my choices narrowed down!! Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!! thanks
  9. I just got my letter today!!!!!! I'm so relieved!!! :balloons: Everyone should be expecting theirs very soon!
  10. THANKS!!! I'm sooo excited and happy!! I'm just dying to see it in writing, you know?! I'll be in the day division.
  11. I called Charity today as well and I played it off saying that I was just wondering if the letters had been mailed out. She said that we would get them in about a week. We were about to get off the phone when she asked for my name & then she said that I GOT IN!!!!!! I was sooo happy and she even told me my address!!! *She did tell me not to tell anyone that she told me the results because then they would be receiving an overwhelming amount of calls. Now she knows it was me!!!!! lol
  12. To WANT2NURSE: My friend just called the admissions number and talked to the lady that answered. To mrsanxiety: I wonder why she asked if you had completed anatomy??!?! Did you complete A&P I & II????? I believe that her gpa was a 3.4 or 3.5 and teas was an 80. Not too sure though. ***Keep you're fingers crossed!!!!***
  13. Well, my friend called asking if the letters had been mailed out yet and the admissions lady asked for her name. Then, she asked my friend if she wanted to know and so she told her. It all depends on who you spoke to. Not all of the admissions people will tell you over the phone. I think I'll just wait til I get my letter.......
  14. I know a girl that called the Admissions office the other day and they told her right over the phone that she was accepted for Spring 2009. I've been calling them, but they don't answer!!
  15. Yeah I can imagine! haha What do you think is a good TEAS score to get into Charity. Mine is a 77.1 but now I'm starting to think that it should've been higher!
  16. Oh ok I see now. Well good luck!! :) By the way, how was your first semester in Nursing School??
  17. Sorry about repeating the messages...my computer was acting up!
  18. I know that they do the profile scores with points, but it just seems like most people have some sort of degree. How do they decide who gets a spot for next semester and who doesn't? Is it based on grades?
  19. I know they do the profile score with points, but it just seems like most people that get in have some sort of degree. How do they decide who gets a spot for the next semester and who doesn't?? Is it based on grades?
  20. I'm waiting on my acceptance letter for Spring 2009. I kinda doubt that I will get in because I heard that they're really picky. It seems like they rather pick students that already have a degree. The reason I say that is because my friend applied last semester and she didn't get in. Even though she is a 4.0 student and got an 80 on her TEAS!! :uhoh21:
  21. That's a relief, but how were your grades and TEAS score?
  22. Hello! I have a quick question since you all have already been accepted to Charity. A friend of mine told me today that Charity is mainly accepting those who already have a degree. Since Katrina, they aren't accepting that many students and the ones they're choosing are those with degrees. If this is true I'm really really bummed!! I just sent in my application for Spring '09 and i have a 3.6 gpa with a 77.1 TEAS score...Does anyone on this board have lower gpas or TEAS score than I?? I need to see that there's hope!! THANK YOU!!
