  1. I'm an EU citizen so no problem with immigration. Can somebody tell me if they recognize US education in Italy for example. I'll have an associate degree, do they recognize that or they require Bachelor's degree for nursing. Language is not a problem also, I'm fluent in German and I have time to learn another one so ... any info would be helpful :)
  2. They are paying their tax by working for less money than the americans. Thats the tax, illegal immigrants pay. Why do you think the US still keeps them haha ??? because they profit from them
  3. I had a BCG as a child, and I have a red mark like a bean since then. It never went off, I don't know is that positive negative whatever. Is that going to be an issue when I wanna start working at a hospital? What do I have to do. I was told I don't have to take any immunizations for TB under any circumstances.
  4. yeah my question was messed up :) but you answered perfectly. Thanks :)
  5. Well I guess when I graduate and all those things that you told me happen, I'll continue to study until I get a Ph.D. and qualify for the work visas that are releted to universities or get married :). I'm not from China, India or the Philippines so I'll hope for the best. Thanks for clearing me the situation though. Let's pray for a better future. Weren't they going to pass a legislation for separating the green cards for RNs to a different quota?
  6. Can somebody tell me, after graduating the RN program of nursing from Meramec, does one have any experience. I mean do those residencies in hospital count as experience?
  7. I'm studying in the USA right now. I say one can be issued a work permit if he has an employer and has started the green card process and is approved for a visa but has to wait for 2-3 years. Compared to finding a job after graduating with a Bachelors degree, a student with a nursing degree has more chances of getting his papers done.
  8. However, I think they issue a work permit and one can start working and still wait for his visa even if it takes 5 years. That's my info. If somebody went through the process recently , he/she can gives a good view. Kind of retarded on part of the U.S. government to deny international students that have graduated on the US just because there are no visas since they don't have enough nurses anyways???
  9. I'll be probably studying during the summer but if I need desperately some money I'll surely take your advice and I'll look for a job. I didn't know that I can get an internship even without completing the whole program. I know it's not polite to ask , but how much did you get paid during that internship? Thanks for the fast responses :)
  10. Yeah I'm applying in Meramec. So this is your last year? I took General Chemistry 1 with a B so I'm okay with this test. Did you do hours in some hospital and if you did were they paid ? :) Good luck on the graduation then :) hehh
  11. Yeah, I too think it should be the same as the practice test. Thank you a lot for the response. In that case I'm gonna take the test as soon as possible :)))) I wish you a lot of luck and fun during 2008
  12. I checked the Meramec website for sample tests and the practice test that is there includes only Ratio and proportion questions. Can someone that took the admission test in Meramec tell me what kind of the questions are on the test. Do the dosage calculation test includes those IV and infusion rates questions or it is just the ratios and proportions??? I'm getting confused because on the web I'm finding different websites like http://www.accd.edu/sac/nursing/math/mathindex.html that have kind of different questions from those posted on the Meramec website. I appreciate the help :))))
