  1. Mine was maybe a 3.1 or 3.2
  2. i think you just need a basic algebra or trig class for the math. there is no entrance exam but you need nutrition.
  3. I just got accepted for the spring semester if you have any other questions. You need intro to biology, organic chem, general chem, micro, and both anatomy I and II. I recommened taking into to bio before micro...it really helps. It made micro so much easier. I would do the pre reqs at CCBC...nothing wrong with that. My GPA was like a 3.1 or 3.2...I was on the waiting list and just got pulled off a few days ago.
  4. has anyone heard anything?? I know we aren't supposed to be hearing until January, but I am going crazy here.
  5. i would need your e-mail address
  6. No, I'm dead set on going there. :-) send me your e-mail and I will give all the information brook necker gave me, its just waaaay to much to type up here.
  7. really??? i have heard both sides. some ppl say nobody gets in and other say a decent number of ppl get in. i have been driving myself nuts, but im glad we r in the same boat :) i talked to brook necker (admissions coordinator) and she gave me all the info about the avg gpa of the ppl on the waitlist and those that were accepted. she said that there is about 40 ppl on the waitlist and that usually about 10-12 ppl from the list get in, but she said others are irresponsible, or go to other schools, or don't do well in their last semester. what have you heard?
  8. has anybody here also applied to Towson???? I just got a letter a few days ago saying that I have been waitlisted :-/
  9. I just got my letter from Towson saying I have been waitlisted. Anyone else???
  10. I have looked at the schedules for both campuses, since I am willing to attend either. But I'm confused. So in addition to the times posted on the class schedules is there more class time? So they dont give you all the scheduling info you need? I dont see anything about clinicals and how come the SG campus has communications module and lab and the bmore campus is different?
  11. um i have completed 3/4 sciences and have stat, nutrition, and a couple humanities and electives left
  12. hey everyone. I recieved a C in my general chemistry course and a C+ in my intro to psych class, but I have recieved all A's and B's in my other courses. Should I repeat chem or psych?? how does umb look at repeating courses especially science courses?
  13. how competitive is the program? I may apply for fall 2010, but the program just sounds so intense!
  14. hey everyone...for all of you who got in for the spring semester...what were your gpa's?? both science and overall? i want to apply for the fall because i will have all the classes by the end of the spring semester...but i dont think my gpa is all that good since its about a 3.1/3.2 so im thinking about waiting to apply for spring 2010...so it would b nice to kno what everyone had. thanks guys!!! :-)
  15. if anyone knows the process and how it works i would love to know (meaning what they look at for admissions and how the waiting list works and stuff like that). i am going to an info session but not until next month so if anyone knows please write back. :-) thanks guys!
  16. any current students either at the baltimore or shady grove campus i was wondering if you thought it would be okay to repeat one of the science classes...ive done okay in everything but chemistry. when i took gen chem my freshman year i got a C so i want to take it over but not if it would hurt me in the admissions process! so if anyone knows that would be very helpful! THANKS EVERYONE!
  17. how competitive would you say the program at hcc is to get in? both the traditional and accelerated
  18. o goshh..im so worried right now i have a 3.3 but i still have several classes i need to take. do you know if its better to apply once all the classes are done or if its safe to do if your still in progress?? what do you think is the range for gpa's?? i like hearing it straight from a student but i am going to an information session this weekend.
  19. well i went to towson last year...the nursing school is okaay. the pre-req's are pretty difficult but manageable...the teachers know how to make it hard. If I was you I would take the CC route and become an RN that way or transfer to towson after a couple semesters of doing pre-req's. villa julie is rediculously expensive...i have a friend who goes there now and is doing nursing. their program is very small...and they only accept students once a year for the program whereas towson takes students in the fall and spring. towson also has two options for nursing...the main campus and a campus at hagerstown. message me if you have any questions!
  20. anyone who has ever applied to the shady grove program or who knows how competitive or how the admissions process is?? i am applying sometime next year and would like more info
  21. I read about dr chandran...looks like shes tough and has a rough accent....but you say shes a good teacher. Is she fair and easy to understand?
  22. so as long as you have a 3.0 you should be okay, im assuming? how hard do you find the classes to be once you get in?? do you think people are failing bcuz of the instructors or poor studying skills?
  23. im very curious to know how competitive is it?? thanks a ton
  24. anyone who has completed nursing or knows about nursing at howard cc...i have a couple questions so please reply to this message. thanks!
