Real ER vs TV ER
Calfax, great movie ideas. I especially like the Dolph Lundgren one but would you have him more Punisher-like or from that extremely bad/good movie I Come In Peace? And the ER mistake I liked? They've got a patient flat on his back with BP dropping, bleeding out internally and they say..."there's no JVD!" No kidding??

Roll call for Seattle
LOL, yep, the Wizard of Oz reference is correct. Happy gathering, hopefully I'll be there someday, but right now I'm still finishing my RN! Enjoy Seattle, it's a great town.

have you started becoming anal about things?
:rotfl: :roll :rotfl: Oh my, I've always been anal, and thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I got into the nursing program and found out it was an asset. But mispronunciations....how about 'charistics' for 'characteristics?' Drove my whole class crazy when the teacher would roll that one out.

Chiropractors
Of all the things I miss since moving and starting a new career, I miss my chiro the most. After having 4 sacroiliac sprains, he always got me back in place and back at 100%. I hate to think what kind of shape I'd be in today if I'd gone to a regular MD and been given just the typical pain meds routine. He was definitely one of the good guys, not one to claim chiro could cure everything. He was also an advocate for living healthy (good diet, excercise, etc) who actually practiced what he preached. As has been said so many times before, there are good ones and bad ones (actually true of ANY profession).

If You're becoming a Nurse for the Money......
I wouldn't say I decided to go into nursing just for the money, but it was certainly a deciding factor. When I looked at what new graduates were making in the field, it was a couple grand more than what I was making in my career at the time (animal trainer, they can pay you dirt because everyone wants to be one). And in talking with nurses and what they make, well, I may never be a millionaire or drive a BMW (wouldn't want to anyway!) but it's certainly a huge step up from what I was doing before.
