  1. Hopefully this will help everyone in understanding the waiting process in Calif ....... for those that take the VN NCLEX...... I finished my VN program in Dec 09........Decided to study and take a break...Took my VN NCLEX on March 19th 2010. Waited....and waited.....until May 11th when I received my letter stated I passed. Immediately, (same day) I mailed in my $$$ for my license. On Saturday May 22nd I received my ' Shiney Light Blue License!!' TOTAL=64 DAYS>>>>>>>> Good Luck to everyone....and happy nursing!!
  2. Don't fret.....It will come. :) After you get your letter in the snail mail, send in your $$ for your (Hard copy) license. I hear once they receive payment, your name is posted. Good Luck to everyone......
  3. YAAAAHOOOOO.....wait.... wait..... for that very important date!!!!! I PASSED!!! Okay....for those that are in Calif, and took the NCLX-PN in Calif, The total days it took for me to receive confirmation since taking the exam(On March 19th 2010) has been 45 days until I received my letter in the 'snail' mail stating I passed. So don't fret....It will come.....
  4. Still waiting....and waiting..... I took my nclex pn on March 19th.......... Just can't seem to stay away from the BVNPT website....and my mail box....it's become an addiction....check the mail, then check the website and back again.....my friend put in her and bet me I couldn't go two days without checking........guess what?!?!! Yep she won the bet. It's been 40 days and counting...............
  5. Long Beach City College= LBCC is in California
  6. Why not enter the LVN program at LBCC and then when you finish you can apply for the RN program. At least you won't have to wait to get in. There is a long waiting list at most colleges and if your GPA has lower grades in the sciences you will be at the bottom of the pile. By taking the LVN program first, you will be able to enter the RN program somewhere in the 3rd or 4th quarter depending on your testing. I have a few friends that were frustrated and went the LVN route first. They said that they gained more primary (as LVN) experience and were able to fly through the rest of the RN program without any trouble. Good luck!!!
  7. I am in need of advice/information about where to take the equivalent of BIO 60 @ Long Beach City College, CA. at another school. I was given the 'heads-up' warning about the instructor that teaches it. Is there a instructor/school that has the same class that is close to Long Beach? I only have that class left and have a 3.5 GPA and don't want it to go down.... Since the wait list for the RN program is sooooooo long, the best thing for me is to go into the LVN program and then into the bridge LPN--->RN program. Help!!!! any info would be appreciated..... An online bio class would even be better
