  1. Hello All! I'm fairly new to this forum, so sorry ahead of time if this has been previously asked. I scanned over threads and found one similar but still was curious as to other's opinions. I'm currently trying to find a field of nursing that I would like to pursue. I am very interested in CRNA but see countless others are as well. With this being said, I was wondering if anyone thinks the field will become overflooded. I know there is a shortage of nurses in general, and especially CRNAs. Even with that being said, it seems like the field is extremely popular. So basically my question is: Do you think the job prospects for a CRNA will be favorable? I am just worried that if I go into the field, there will not be enough jobs in 15 years. Am I crazy to think this? All answers are much appreciated!

  3. I'm also going to Richwood Valley..that's crazy! I'm going there because I live in Ozark. Yeah, I have really been thinking about doing OTC's nursing program, but I'm a little apprehensive because the ASN program is new. I would like to because it is a lot cheaper than both Cox and St. Johns. Anyway, so what classes are you taking for Spring? I'm in A&P, Chem, Nutrition, and Math 110. I just finished Psych, English, Math 50, and History (I was enrolled before I new I wanted to do nursing, but will help toward BSN). You should PM me! It's good to hear from someone so close!!
  4. Wow, when I found this website I didn't think I'd find anyone around my area. I'm also attending OTC for my pre-reqs! Hopefully, after this Spring I'll be applying to Cox and St. Johns for their nursing programs. Are you planning on attending OTC's nursing program? Like you, I also grew up in a smaller town..Mansfield.
  5. Thank you both for your help. I had no idea about the resistance toward tuition reimbursement. Whenever I have spoken to Cox and St. Johns, they talk like it is a guaranteed thing as long as you sign the contract. I'm glad I know that now!!
  6. Hi! I'm planning on applying for the ASN programs at both Cox and St. Johns. Right now, everyone is telling me different things, and I'm so confused. I'm planning on doing the tuition assistance which will mean I will be working at the hospital of the school I attend for around 4 years. So, I really want to make sure I choose the right one. I have visited both but am leaning toward Cox. I was wondering if anyone had any advice, or if you have heard anything about either? I would really appreciate it!!:) Thanks...
