  1. well i really know how you feel about wanting to stick it out, i have been a cna for 13 years and of course its not been in the same place. but where i work now i quit on them 2 times, they never wanted me to quit so i went in and had a talk with my don,and adminenastrator?? i take my care on patients very very personal i love to take care of people and i love to make them happy.doing my job the right way is the way i want it to be,you know believe it or not, but god watches our every move on his people...
  2. where i work we are to take plastic plates, etc. in the rooms and dispose all trash in that room, and at the end of day take the trash out and place in red bags...and we have to wear gloves(of course)gown, and mask depending where that patient has mrsa.... it is a scarry thing.but if you think about it.. 50% of us have mrsa. the main thing i think you should do always is wash your hands good.
  3. i will pray for yuo guys, i know you must be nervous... wish you all the luck in the world...we need more caring, praying nurses....
  4. i am a cna and i love my job, where i"m from there are a few nurses who dont show respect to us aides, i think you can get that kinda treatment wherever you work or what title you have on your badge, but the way i look at it is: we are to take care of the elderly(or whereever you are working) and be respecting them... believe me some people think that if you do not have a title RNor LPN or whatever else thats not CNA than you know nothing, well i am sorry we do know our resident more than you......and i know this from experience
  5. i strongly agree on a massage thearpist, i would love to make an elderly person feel good, even though they are old.SO WHAT!!! they deserve to be pain free, and feel good. i wish i could do that for them....
