Most schools take your Math and Science GPA, last 60 credit hours GPA, overall GPA, and whether or not you have a master's GPA even if you only take 1 class on the master's level. The also take into consideration your GRE and admission letter of intent or why you chose there school. Last 60 and math and science tends to weigh heavier than overall is what I have seen. I am really disappointed for my sake after reading all of these threads. This is my second time applying. I applied last year with 2 of my coworkers which both of them received it last year. I did not think that people would even start receiving money yet before the end of the deadline. I wish they would notify you once they decide on your application because the waiting is awful. My application says that it is submitted. I called the help desk and they say it is in review and once there is a decision made it will say reviewed. Does anyone know if people have been notified that they did not receive it?

Supersleeper, CONGRATULATIONS, I was wondering what happened to you. This is very late to notify someone. A coworker of mine told me that they decided to accept 30 applicants instead of 25. Make sure you send your $1000 bucks. Good luck to you. DeDeRN1

I got my acceptance letter for the birminham component on Saturday.

Supersleeper, You should be receiving your call. I had to turn my money in by Jan 23 and I declined because I got accepted to another school. You may want to call and ask has anyone declined this is what I did. I called Dr Lindgren. Good Luck

Supersleeper, Unfortunately, they want to know when they are talking on the phone to you. If you do not accept they move right along to the next person. It would be unwise to say no I am waiting on........I should here from other schools in the next couple of weeks.

SuperSleeper, I was number ? and UTC called me today so look for your call. I applied to another school I think I will make a decision that will leave you with Tennessee.

supersleeper I am on the alternate list also. Did you call to see what number you were on the alternate list? One of my coworkers were accepted to the program, I wish I had a guaranteed spot. Did you apply any where else?

I have an interview at UTC on November 30 as well. I also heard the same information about an interesting patient and diprovan from another student who went to UTC.
