I don't understand
I am a fairly new LPN, I am on my second job, the 1st job being paid a decent wage but not enough hours to make ends meet, now I am on my 2nd job and I am being paid very little (real close to mim. wage) but I am getting more hours. It is almost like I am being paid the same. How can my place of employment and surround area get off by paying so little. It is very upsetting to know that McDonalds assistant managers make more than me!!!. Sometimes I feel like I have wasted my time and money on going to school to be a nurse. Don't get me wrong I do like what I am doing now especially comparing it to what I used to do. I really don't understand this am I being phased out already? Should I go back to school? I am confused and I just needed to vent alittle.

Any certified insulin pump trainer???
Thanks for the info, the reason I ask is because my Doc that I work for has asked me if I would consider being trained to do this inside her practice. Since this post she has contacted Medtronic for me to begin. I am alittle nervous but hey who isn't when they try something new. Thanks again for the info;)

Hello, want to drop a line
Well my remark "I dont know what to think of my boss" was not meant to be in a negative way at all. I should of said I am not sure on how I should take her, thats all. This job is different than my last job. My last boss was very whishy washy and according who was working on a giving day the rules changed. I was just expressing my thoughts and I did not think I would get a remark on my post that would be so strong.

Hello, want to drop a line
Hello to everyone Just want to say hello to all, I am a new LPN grad. and of course here to. I have landed my 1st job. I have been there oh...approx. 6 weeks, I am not sure what to think about it yet. I worked in dialysis as a PCT, quit there due to being burned out between work, kids, marriage, and school. I spent entirely to much time in dialysis, I was there for 5 1/2 years to long(thank god that is over with). Anyway, I am now in an doctors office working with an endocrinologist and I do like what I do but I am just not sure of what to think of my boss. Well..just wanted to drop a line and say hi to all and hopefully getting to meet fellow nurses
