Hi everyone! Enjoyed reading all post here, it really helps me a lot to decide, especially the one posted by Piscean. Your post put a smile on my face, can't stop my self to laugh while reading your post, memories from the past flashed back in my mind..my happy and sad moments of working in K.S.A. I worked in KSA as a nurse but not in a hospital instead in a polyclinic though it was not what I wanted, I just focused myself working though most of the time there is not much work to do since all patient are just for check-up. The only disadvantage of working in a polyclinic ay mabobobo ka..but salary wise much better compared here working in a 8 hour toxic shift handling 10 patients (maximum number). eeww! At the moment, I'm thinking of going back again to KSA but this time in a hospital (MOH). Salary is much higher plus good training. Nurses there are well compensated. So for those who are thinking of going to KSA, just prepare yourself and pray because that will be our only weapon to survive alone in other country. Good luck to everyone and Happy Holidays!

...to lenjoy----It was really nice to received comments/advice from you,really appreciate it.As for your question concerning pre-employment training.yes.they told us that they will absorb those people who successfully passed the 3 months training and I'm one of those person.in fact I'm done with my physical exam ang i've already submitted other needed requirements.the only question now is when will i start to work? I've already sent my credentials to other hospitals as well and I guess I have to wait till next year that will be the time they will resume in hiring nurses.anyway, the latest info that i received from my batchmate reagrding our deployment was 5 person to go from the other batch and hopefully our batch will come immediately next after that..(hope so!) ..really PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE!:doh:

...It's been 3 months now since my pre-employment training ended.Now i'm stuck here doing nothing,waiting cluelessly for their call. it seems like it will took ages!:oI'ts hard for me to give up this hospital knowing that it is a well known medical institution and simply because "its one of the best"..so difficult to dump the opportunity, besides to be accepted in that hospital was really a big opportunity for me to enhance my nursing skills..but...the saying "Patience is a virtue"is now killing me.I'm thinking of going now to Saudi Arabia instead of waiting until no one knows when....salary in KSA is much higher and I think I can also get the experience which i'm after for in that hospital.I heard about MOH KSA (thru POEA) they are accepting nurses with less than 2 years experience or even those non-experience nurses.I'm really interested to try it,but I'm bit hesitant because I don't feel confident yet with my skills.I'm in dilemma,I want to help my family financially and at the same time I wanted professional growth for myself..

..HI everyone,Im from Philippines.I have a friend who is working in Ontario.she is helping me to get a work in Alberta( Extendicare) I suppose this is a Long term care facility.Do anyone here can give me some insights what will be like working in a long term care facility. ...one more thing..I submitted my papers to CARNA.after 2 months I received a letter telling me the need to undergo SEC assesment and I believed this is only available in Calgary..:uhoh3:I'm now confused,I don't know how to handle this.Do anyone here knows about SEC assessment because right now i feel frustrated,seems loke things are not going right.I will be very pleased to hear from you guys..just Pm me thank you ver much!
