Aquapheresis
i am glad you let us know about the iv access issues. we are going to start the procedure soon and we will be using the same equipment from the same company. i will talk to my nephrologist and find a answer to your question. we will be doing the procedure on an outpatient basis. our center is in a venous access building, so the interventional nephrologists may have an answer. i will get back to you if i get a solution to the iv access problem:angryfire

How is it like to be an RN in Vegas?
las vegas is an interesting place to live. right now housing is cheap here. if you settle here you may want to live on the nw part of town. i live in a community called cenntenial hills. it is a nice area. closer to the city gets a little dicey. we have a new hospital about to open. they are looking for nurses. it is also centrally located. right off a major road. the traffic is horrible. people out here drive like mad men. accidents occur on a hourly basis. you have to have eyes in the back of your head. i really like it here. i have a great job. i am regional manager for a company based in ca. we are attempting to open a clinic and start a new procedure for chf pts. the mds are being stubborn. good luck to you. i hope you find what you are looking for:devil:

How is it like to be an RN in Vegas?
i have been lv for a little over a year. i am from the east coast, so being a rn out here is difficult. i am use to dr being on call and present on my unit, so when we needed them they were there. in lv i worked in a micu, if i needed the md i had to call the attending md who could get very nasty. i reported 3 md's while working there. maybe i am just spoiled. i am not use to it.

New Adventure: Tele/Stepdown... Advice Please!
i have learned that no question is silly. if you have a question ask. you do not want to make a mistake. as for learning rhythms, watch the monitors. there are many good books out there. laura gasparious vonfrolio has great books and interesting ways to remember rhythms. she makes learning fun:devil:
