Has anyone had an assignment there in ER? What was it like? Would you recommend it?

Thanks all! I bought the Core Curriculum for Neonatal Intensive Care Nurses from AWHONN and NANN. I'll be looking into the M&G next.

I accepted a full time night position in the NICU at Childrens Hospital Omaha. I start after I finish my present travel contract on dec 15th. I am very excited about this position! The orientation is 2 phases 1st 3 months of class and clinical then work with the feeder growers and intermediate care babies. After 6 to 12 months phase 2 _vents and oscillators. I have a lot of learning to do and am excited about it. Anybody have suggestions for reading material.

well I did not get the 1st one I interveiwed for, it was a part-time(24hrs a week) spot and I would have had to be a dual status employee( work one day a week in another area(er). Apparently they have enough experienced NICU nurses applying. Oh Well!! I still have 2 other oppurtunities.

What specialty? I have worked for Alegent in LTC, Avantas( Kind of a system wide floatpool with GREATPAY) and At Bergan Mercy Medical Center In the ED. Alegent has 5 hospitals in the metro-Immanuel, Bergan, Midlands, Mercy and Lakeside. Alegent is a god system and is growing by leaps and bounds. I am presently travel nursing looking to get back into Alegent. Hopefully in the NICU at Bergan.

2nd interview went well. now it is time to wait. third interview is tues. i hate the waiting part.

I have interview wit 3 different NICUS in te next 7days. What I would like to know is what questions should I ask the interviewer when given the oppurtunity? Thanks Ronnie
