Repeating Entire A&P sequence
Calioter3 thanks so much for your response. There is something empowering about hearing others that have gone before you. I also appreciate your input both positive and negative. Knowing that you eventually were so burned out and dropped out of school is exactly what I don't want to have happen. On the other hand, worst case scenario is that I have a nervous breakdown next term and have to wait another year to apply. But that is what is going to happen if I don't make an attempt to knock all three classes out in one term. The difficult part, is that unlike some programs, I don't need to just pass I have to earn a B at minimum. Anyway thanks again for your response. I am looking forward to hearing from others who have had similar experiences.

Repeating Entire A&P sequence
I am currently taking the third class out of three of A&P. I already know that next term I will be taking the first two over. A&P 1 I got a B in but because it is considered the "tie breaker" class on my nursing school application I have to retake it and get an A if I am going to have the best possible chance at being accepted. The A&P 2 class that I took I got a C in! I missed a B by 2 pts. out of 600 possible points. For my school's point-system application A&P 2, A&P 3, and Microbiology all need to have either A's or B's to achieve top points. So I already know I will be taking A&P 2 over. Now I am nearing the end of the term and fearing that I may not be able to pull a B off in A&P 3. Which means I could be taking A&P1, A&P2, and A&P3 all together next term. I don't have much choice, considering that the next term is the last term that I am allowed to fulfill my prereq's for a Fall 2008 admittance. My question is if any of you have had to repeat three A&P's in one term before? How did it go?

Add Anyone
I am a pre-nursing student who is very close to finishing my prereq's. I just did a search for "ADD" in hopes of finding some insight to some of the things that I am struggling with in school that I think may be signs of ADD. So I am also curious how others are dealing with their ADD and/or learning disability issues while trying to maintain such high academic standards that nursing school requires. Specifically some of my issues are distractibility and inability to focus or stay on task for any length of time (makes studying for any length of time very difficult). My mind just seems to race for no apparent reason. In the early terms of my prereq's this wasn't as much of an issue because I am a pretty intelligent person and have been able, until recently to get by in my general ed. courses and receive A's without a huge amount of effort. But once the science courses hit, A&P and Micro specifically, I am just really struggling to earn the high grades. The issue of distractibility, difficulty concentrating and focusing have been areas that have been hard for me since I was a kid. I have managed to work around some of these weak spots in the working world. But now I am seeing that the reason that I didn't succeed in college the first itme around years ago is for many of the same reasons I am struggling now. So I guess this isn't a new problem, but it is just that I would like to finally be able to get a grasp on it where it concerns my academic achievement. It feels like all too familiar stumbling block rearing it's ugly head in my life yet again as I struggle to meet important academic goals required for a nursing career.
