  1. I'm in Hawaii but that's not a problem. We can exchange review materials thru private message. I'm using kaplan and lippincott :)
  2. I'm planning to take this coming march also. I'd like to be your study buddy :)
  3. Thank you for replying guys... I feel like I'm not alone in this struggle in passing NCLEX. :[anb]:
  4. I can strongly relate to your situation pinkpaperdoll. I really got heartbroken and cried so hard after knowing that I didn't pass. It's hard to study esp being a fulltime mom and has to work at the same time. May I ask, did you try practicing questions like 100/day? That, I didn't practise enough. I studied and did a lot of memorization, which didn't really help me answer the questions correctly. I think, we need to do a lot of critical thinking skills and analysis. :brnfrt:
  5. I think you have a point. I've been doing random questions and I need to focus on the subject that is giving me a poor score. Thank you for the feedback. =) As you mentioned, 80-85% is quite high for guessing the answers. I wished I could do the same also.
  6. Hi Everyone! I just took my third NCLEX RN exam and sad to say I failed. My mistake was when I took my first two exams, I did a self study..not realizing that I missed a good chance of passing. I have been using Saunders by random tests and I've been averaging between 47-70%. I took a comprehensive review and it seems to me that I still need more review. I tried other review materials both online and textbooks and I'm still averaging 49%. I understand the reason why I failed but I just don't know how to improve my scores. It's a little difficult for me to study since I have a 2yr old child. I'm a full time mom and I do most of the chores at home. Can anyone relate to my situation? If yes, can anybody give me some idea as to how much more I should study? I really don't know where to start. :crying2:..
  7. Do you know any state in the US that does not require local license? I've researched almost all states. But, it seems that I don't rely too much on the website. Particularly CA website since I just had that actual experience of being informed that it wasn't a requirement but then, after 6 months of waiting for that reply...I got an answer that a local board was a requirement.
  8. hi everyone, i've been living in the us for over 6 mos now on a conditional permanent residence status. my problem started when i was informed by ca board of nursing that i need to get my license first in the ph before i could apply for the nclex board exams. anyone who knows the latest policy about prc in ph and their requirements? i need to go back and take the local board exams this year 2008---hopefully. i really am quite disappointed since all my friends in ph were able to get their att in ca nclex even without having a local license. please help!!!
  9. Suzanne: Do you still believe this is true? I have a degree from the Philippines but no license. I am thinking I have no choice but to go back and obtain the local board in PI, because it does not appear that one can obtain a license in the U.S. without a homecountry license.
