I read in some forums that evenr though you don't have any experience here, as long as you pass their Aus Assessment, you are eligible to apply for their bridging course and from what i heard in only cost around 7000AUS$. 12000AUS$ too much! haha! I'm starting to think again.

Hi I would just like to clear this up. Does Australia needs 1 year experience for you to be able to apply for thier bridging course? Or you can still apply for the bridging course even though you have no experience (being here in the Philippines no job for a year, trying to look for a hiring hospital but they insist they're on freeze hiring... how could you get any experience here with flocks of nurses and no vacancies on hosps. sheesh!)

thank you miss suzzanne. Actually i asked an agency here and the agency required me to study OET there for them to file my student visa. I told them that taking IELTS will be ok but they still recommend me to get OET. Will there be any advantage if I get the OET there instead of taking IELTS here? and once I pass my IELTS (if ever im going to take it here), then can I proceed to bridging course in Aussie while on student visa? hi! I would like to ask if the Occupational English Test is required there? I'm planning to have my student visa to Aussie, study OET (that is if its really required) then once pass, take bridging course. Taking OET will take tons of money follweed by the bridging course that's why im looking for any options not to take the OET there instead taking IELTS here then once pass, take the bridging course "alone" in Aussie while in student visa. i did pass my requirements same last year too same month as yours october. I think you just have to wait for a phone call from them. Just try to pass your requirements again. Probably since they have a bulk of applicants, they can't entertain all the applicants.

with that i really don't know. the last time i heard they had their exam last feb. though having an ivt certification is an advantage, almost everyone who submitted their requirements (such as resume, diploma, tor and prc certifications placed in long brown envelope your name, add and contact details as well the position you're applying, drop it in box somewhere on the parking area basement one [as per direction or hrd]) will go under the same process such as taking their preliminary exam and considering such training in the next few interviews.

i dunno who's to blame having the problem of oversupply of nurses. Sheesh! They should have visualized it before since now, its really a big problem. Opening such schools which, for the sake of money and everything, results to poor quality of nursing plus the Oversupply of nurses.

hi there, after we finished the prequalifying exam ni med city last dec 12 i guess (which i didn't pass unfortunately), they told us that the next prequalifying exam will be by june this year. I think they hire 2 a year just like the board exams (june and dec)

i think almost hospitals provide training, problem is you have to pass their requirements including exams and interview. I haven't there yet since right now, it's very hard to apply to a hospital and even if you apply, a lot of patience is needed. Think of it that graduates and board passers last june 2007 is "still" waiting ang looking for the right job. If I were you and you are pretty sure that you're going to pass the boards, better apply in advance. hehe!

hi there I passed my application in Capitol Med Center last year, particular in the month of October and still no calls have been made. Same goes with Medical City which almost 300 took the entrance exam (including me) and unfortunately i think 50 or less did pass during the prelimiary exams. If you're going to ask me about the requirements: the usual resume, tor diploma, certifications of grades from NLE plus Cert of passing, PRC card, birth cert (all of them are xeroxed) plus bring extra ID pics including 1x1 or the 2x2.

hi there! I also applied in that hospital, I guess october last year and honestly, till now I haven't recieve any call from them. I guess they prioritize those who graduated from their school. My friend's sister is a nurse there and she told me that it took her 9 mos before she was informed for her exam and interview.

hi! based on my experience, I got my license 6mos after the board exams. I think that depends on your family name (and I guess the officers who were in charge of the registration date since I think they control on whatever they want you to get your ID). Besides you can work even if you don't have your license and that would be followed when you get your license. Exemptions are some of our government hospitals which they require you to have your own license.

My boyfriend is currently reviewing at Kaplan but here in Manila particularly in Quezon Ave. Actually their program is good for 3 months and it includes the videos, manuals and 1 month is taken for the live sessions or review. According to him, it's mostly lectures and rationale. I still have no idea in other review centers especially there in Cebu. Hope it helps!

hi! we are in the same situation except that I will use that for CES report courtesy by the CGFNS. For your question, your license will be release as soon you register for your license (your registration date) from there, you will pay fee for your license then you will have to wait for a month or two for the release of your license (the claiming date of your license will be indicated on green form or oath form [i think]) If you didn't register on you register date, I advise you to go to the PRC directly. I guess they do have the dates for the registration for those who failed to register for their license. Hope this helps!

I don't think that the commercial is related to Delos Santos School. The school of Nursing of delos santos has been established years before they have this joint partnership for STI and I guess if STI has a nursing school, they should have commercialized "DLS-STI" instead of "STI" itself. Besides, why would IT students would go to DLS-STI knowing that the school offers nursing instead of IT and why would nursing students prefer studying in DLS-STI intead of STI college itself. Its just my predicament since I have no idea of the school. Lastly, it realy depends on the student on how she/he performs in his academics. Schools are just to support students but we must rely to ourselves if we want to be successful in our carreer.

DLS-STI would mean delos santos-STI. You see it's only a partnership of the school and STI college which is known for IT. I don't think that STI affects the academics for the Nursing course. Delos Santos was built even before STI had a partnership with them.

If there is other special requirements they needed is that you must have your IV training and BLS. I've heard from that forums is that they don't entertain applicants as of now. They will entertain them by January next year but If you want, they have this training CETN which cost 8000php. If you're interested, try to visit them, call or visit their website. Hope this helps!

Ms Suzzanne i have a question here. I've read again the Illinois site about the requirements for TOEFL since that is the only English test accepted in their state. It is stated there that you must achieve a passing minimum score of 560-paper based, 220-computer based or an 83 on the TOEFL internet based exam. My question is do I have to take any of the TOEFL exam (either PBT, CBT or IBT)? So that It would suit the requirements of IL BON? I'm planning to take PBT since I guess it's easier than then IBT. But if I took the PBT, would that also mean I have to take the CBT? Much thanks again! I really want to take the IELTS exam though I'm scared to take the risk. Besides my Aunt told me (who resides at IL) to take TOEFL.

hi! are you talking about Fe del Mundo Medical Center? Well you can bring such basics like stet, bp ap and thermometer. Others: cotton balls, alcohol, gauze, betadine, bandage scissors, clean gloves and sterile gloves just to be sure. Anyways, you can buy at mercury drug near at the hospital. I'm not sure though for the dormitories. Try to search the net. I believe there's one in along quezon ave. just near banawe street and E. rodriguez ave (that is iif were talking here Fe del Mundo) Hope this helps!
