  1. Yeah I had a 180$ fine and that was it. I have a copt of the police report...the only thing I did was slap my husband I wouldnt even call it that lol. But I hope this doesnt affect me. I have a misdemeanor on my record.
  2. Im going to school to be an LPN. A few months ago my husband had an affair and when I found out about everything I slapped him on the face and he was threating me and so on. So I called the cops and they took us both to Jail. I was CHARGED with Battery count 1- hurting someone without using physical force. Im hoping this doesnt affect my chances of being a Nurse. I am a CNA and have had no problems of getting a job. My college denied me at first but then I showed them a copy of the police report and they let me register. Will this affect my chances at all? Im not a violent person at all, I was just in a hard situation (just had a baby) when all this stuff happend.
  3. Thank you so much! My kids are 2 years and 5 months. And congrats to you!
  4. Hello I have been a CNA for a few years at a hospital and I decided finally it was time to start my pre-reqs for the LPN program. Im not even looking at the RN program right now because I want to achieve this goal first. I have 2 young kids andc for my husbands job we had to relocate to a new state so we dont have any family or friends here. Im doing my pre-reqs for the LPN program. I am unable to work now because my husband works long hours & random hours. I'm starting off with english and psyc...things Im interested in. I just dont want to give up and Im afraid that having two kids will make things difficult. I want to have my career so when they are in school full time I can work also. When I put my mind to something I usually always accomplish it. Is there anyone willing to be an online study buddy for me and friend....I havent been in school for awhile so I feel like Im starting all over. I have great experience as a cna and I dont see any problems with the Nursing, its just the math, biology and all that. Any other advice out there?
  5. I already took cpr/first aid. I've been in a couple college classes like math and computers...But I'm nervous to start my CNA class on Wednesday. I've heard alot of different things about it and I just want to do well in the class. I don't really know what to expect. Being a nurse is a dream of mine, and I just love volunteering in the nursing home. However, The videos and study work is not what I'm worried about. Its the clinicals and state exam. I don't want to mess up on anyone, yeah know. I plan on to become an LPN...I can't even imagine how stressful that is. Any pointers on what to do before class and during my clinicals. What kinds of things did you do during them also. How hard was the State exam?
  6. Hello everyone...Im 18 years old (yes a young mom) and I have a 6 month old baby girl. I decided I wanted to go to school after I got my ged when I was pregnant. Right now I'm taking 3 classes. Computers (which is easy)...Math, that I'm not too worried about. But the biology is kicking my butt. There are so many labs, notes...just everything is hard for me because my Fiance' is gone at work half the time. I have a good support system but It's just really hard to do homework instead of playing with my baby. Going to school makes me feel conifident however It just gets really hard sometimes. I hope it will be worth it in the end :] How about you guys? I only have one baby and that's a challenge!
  7. Hello Everyone! Im starting my pre-reqs for a nursing program...I'm doing 3/4's time and I have a beautiful 5 month old baby girl. Its gonna be a challenge but its what my heart wants. I was curious to see if there were any other students/graduates who want to keep contact via private message (pm)....the more support for me the better. And im talking about 3 am messages lol. Homework help, Emotional Help...Alll of it lol.
  8. Im currently going to school to be an lpn and thinking of becoming of a postpartum doula, plus I have a baby. Can I handle it...?
  9. im going to college now..however i have not yet been accepted into the lpn program but if all goes to plan that i will graduate as an lpn. But i live in wyoming and i want to move and work in utah after i graduate. Would i have to take the nclex in wyoming or utah...or both>
  10. so im curious..what kinda labs did you do? yeahh i thought i would take micro too, but wyoming is weird with its classes. after biology 1 i take human anatomy
  11. im starting my first class so hopefully i can be accepted into the lpn program and everyone is saying how hard it is and that i shouldnt take it for my first college class just out of high school. But biology is just the first class that works into my schedule..any advice?
  12. I live in western wyoming but ive been to vernal quite a bit. I love it there...Acutally im consider moving there because my boyfriend works on a rig close to there. The people are nice and the scenery is great. I know dirtbikng is popular up there also. Anyway im not sure about the hospital there or if there even is one close but you might want to consider driving. Our hospital in evanston is ALWAYS hiring lpns, cnas, and RNs but im not sure how far it is for you. Good luck, if u have any other questions please ask!
  13. Im gonna start taking my lpn classes in january in wyoming and once i graduate in 1 1/2 years..i plan on moving to utah with my boyfriend and baby and then doing an online school for my rn...Does utah accept that?
  14. No i dont think so...I also have a newborn baby taking 3 classes a semester plus a cna class...as long as you have support and dont ever give up...because its so worth it in the end. Im always here if u need to talk
  15. hey im starting algebra and biology...how is it so far
