  1. I took my exam last Wednesday and am still waiting for my results. I hope it doesn't take the full four weeks. How many questions did you have? I had 75 and have no clue how I did. Congrats and good luck in all you do!!! Anne
  2. I took the dreaded exam on 6/23. My state doesn't participate to find out the results in 48 hrs. I feel like I am walking around like a time bomb! I can't stand it! How many questions did you have to answer? Did your feel confident when you left? Congrats again! Anne
  3. First of all I hope you and everyone else who are awaiting exam results did well. I was looking up your question in my text. It reads that a lady partsl birth without complications...8 hrs after delivery woman will be up to shower with assistance and 9-16 hrs after delivery woman will be up to shower independently. I would not pick D - :rotfl:, I would only take a temp after I established bp and pulse first, so C would be out, I guess the safest answer would be B since it should be less likely that the patient would pass out in the shower by that time. Of course, in the real world when I delivered my 2nd child, I took a shower approx. one hr later. Oh well - best of luck to you!!! I take my exam on June 23rd and am soooo nervous!
  4. Hi Teresa, Just wanted to share my experience with you. My first son's name was chosen prior to birth. My second son was named four days after his birth. I had a name picked out for a boy, but then a relative named her son the same name. I wanted something different. Then, just this past Novemeber I gave birth to my third son. I had a name for a boy that my husband did not like a lot. Well, after the birth my midwife asked what his name would be and my husband said the name I had chosen. I was completely shocked! Well, it still took us about four days to figure out a middle name. Needless to say, we always end up mailing the birth certificate paperwork back to the hospital. That drove the hospital nuts. They called us for both children that we had not named yet looking for the paperwork. Good luck! Anne
