  1. hi 2b_usrn: i just took the exam on the 9th and got 200 questions. i was freaking out because i felt like the questions i got were more of what they would consider lower level ones, i.e. s/s of hyperglycemia, basic knowledge/recall type questions. i vaguely remember the exact questions but i certainly got a variety of them. i remembered getting some questions re:discharge teaching, priority-who would you see first at the clinic or in an emergency situation, about 7 multiple multiples, one and only one calculation, lots of meds i never even heard of, and delegation questions. i got a mixture of almost everything including 'essential' ones. at any consolation, 7 of my classmatess took it and all passed at 75 and all said they got lots of priority and delegation type questions. i was the only one so far who passed at 200 and was totally bummed after the exam. i felt as though i failed miserably! good luck and it sounds to me like you did well because the odds are definitely in your favor. keep me posted! take care... BEST OF LUCK to everyone...
  2. :monkeydance:yeah! i couldn't sleep! i stayed up all night waiting for the results to be posted...i was so nervous. wasn't sure if i wanted to check but i took a deep breath and clicked away. low and behold, seconds later -discovered that my name was posted! YEAH! what a huge weight off my shoulder. now i can finally sleep but i CAN'T for good reasons! thank you so much, everyone, for your support! i truly found comfort on this site reading the threads about nclex this and nclex that! good luck to all.
  3. Hi there fellow nurses. i am new to this site! i found this site extremely comforting to know that i am not the only one feeling depressed about NCLEX-RN. i just took the exam on the 9th and still waiting for the results. i had about 200 questions and am freaking out b/c all my other classmates got only 75 and passed. what does that mean? it there anyone else who took the exam with 200 ?s and passed/failed? i'm just really nervous. this is just pure torture!
  4. hi there attrain15. i am so sorry to hear about you situation with nclex. i am a new grad as well and i just took the boards on the 9th. i am still waiting for my results. i had, i believe, 200 questions. that's the last number i saw before the screen went blank. i can totally relate to how you are feeling. i have been a nervous wreck these past few days while i wallow in my misery of not knowing the results and having left the test feeling extremely crappy. my only advice for you is to try not to give up and the boards, in my opinion, was designed to play mind games with our psyche. just like you i took the kaplan course and i want to believe that i was well prepared for the exam but i feel otherwise. what i have gathered from reading other people's threads it to study as many questions as you can and try not to "memorize" everything. good luck...
  5. I just took it today and i am freaking out! i was not expecting to get over 200 questions. What the heck does that mean? did i pass/fail? did i screw up so badly that they just want to torture me even longer by dragging it out that long? i felt i got more knowledge-based questions? is that a bad sign? i left the testing site feeling depressed- i just wanted cry. i am happy that it's over, the test-taking part, but now i have to wait for the results. the agony of waiting kills me.... i prepared for over a month taking the kaplan course and studying for more than 10 hours a day and i felt no matter how much or how i studied it wouldn't have made a difference:(
  6. omg...i just took it today! i had a horrible experience! the agony of waiting for the results kills me! i am terrified- i can't even sleep!
