  1. I am a current CNA and currently taking pre reqs in order to complete my ADN. I have been taking some online classes for pre reqs but I am researching EC and wanted to if they are accepted here in GA as transfer credits by other local colleges or if an RN license from EC is recognized in the state of GA for work, if not, is it accepted in near by states like alabama?
  2. I was told that only technical and community colleges use the hope grant and that universities do not take the hope grant. I was also told the the hope scholarship is only for people who graduated high school in GA which I did not having only moved here 3 years ago. Is this true? I really want to attend Georgia Highlands College/University but they say they don't accept the hope grant and I don't qualify for financial aid. Are there other good schools for ADN that accepts Hope grant besides Chattahoochee and GPC?
  3. Yes GA Perimeter College requires them. I had mine but had not taken all the shots so the lady told me I had to go take my shots, like 2 more shots I need. Well as a grown woman, I just didn't feel like it at the time especially since I was not sure if I really wanted to attend that college or not so I never went for my shots thus never finished enrollment with them.
  4. Actually I passed my CNA exam in August of 2008. This is a career change for me from corporate America and honestly, I am scared to look for work for two reasons 1) is the pay is sooooooo loooww 10 to 11 bucks per hour, not even enough to pay my daycare fees for my three small children and 2) even though I did it during my clinicals, I am still scared of the poop and poop smell. I am currently taking my pre req college classes for my ADN degree
  5. It looks like I will have to work full time day while trying to pursue my LPN education. I have not started anything yet but I would like recommendations for schools in the Atlanta metro area that offer either an LPN program or RN program either in the evenings or on the weekends. If there are none in the whole state of Georgia, then I can make up to a 2 hour commute if there's evening/weekend programs in the surrounding states to GA such as Alabama or Tennessee. Thx
  6. I am looking into registering for their RN course as well for the Fall.
  7. I also had the same problem trying to call and talk with someone but I guess it would be best to go in person. Can anyone confirm this...they only teach LPN classes correct...not RN course? Also their LPN class is for 12 months? Do they require pre-reqs before starting their LPN or RN classes?
