  1. Thats realllly interesting though!! I think I'm probably the only one here(seemingly) to consider doing that. I used to be an opthalmic technician before nursing school and I loved it so much, assisted in the OR for Lasik surgery..:loveya:
  2. soo... i'm ending school next june (yes its quite a stretch) and am contemplating between two options which have to be decided very soon. 1) attend an intership/externship before i start working or 2) make plans to travel europe with my boyfriend and friends i recently heard that some hospitals hire you several months before you graduate which would make my internship completly pointless since i could be working at that time. in the meantime, people are gathering information to make plans for a trip to europe (10days) in the summer. ofcourse, my future career is way more important to me than going to europe but i was wondering if my desired intership is even necessary... thoughts/opinions?
  3. : ) thats sweet that you guys attempted to make her feel better, although i'm sure she still spent alot of time trying to make her face look better anyway.. So i really needed to tell this story, found it funny.. Im a nursing student and recently started seeing a guy for about 5months. Today I was telling him about clinicals and my previous Labs where my lab partner and I would practice on eachother..mind I tell you my partner is a guy and about 2-3 years younger than me... when I told him this he FROZE and got really nervous , yelling.."WHATTT??" so figures, I've recently told him about perineal care for my patients and it made him really uncomfy in general that I'd touch other men (he's in finance, obviously)- get this... HE THOUGHT THAT IN LAB ALL THE STUDENTS WOULD DROP THEIR PANTS AND PRACTICE PERINEAL CARE ON EACHOTHER... I thought i was gonna die laughing... seriously, couldnt stop for a while :yeahthat:
