  1. Took my NCLEX-RN exam in FL this morning. PearsonVue trick is good--successful delivery status & no payment page. . Still I can't help but recheck the website every half hour. Just FYI, Florida testers could actually check results on the FL Department of Health website for FREE. Results are indicated only as PASS or FAIL, no numbers. On FL DOH, my test status is "NOSHOW" due to my previous failed attempt. I had an ATT mishap, blind and didn't see the attachment. Anyway, I hope it changes soon... Tired of feeling LOOPY. Here's the link if you're testing in Florida: http://ww2.doh.state.fl.us/OnlineTestNET. The PVT seems to be working for many, so best of luck to everyone!
  2. Seriously, I don't want to get into the details, but Solantic nearly took off my arm. I almost passed out. Luckily I'm a fairly high spirited person, so I stuck it out with no complaints! But figuratively speaking, they took my arms and legs cus now I'm so broke!!! :trout:
  3. Which Solantic location did you go to? I went to the one on Southside Blvd but the prices seems a little different. I paid $125 for my titer and they said they would send it off to Lab Corp and it would normally take 3 to 4 business days for the results. They didn't mention any other costs. But the staff seemed like they didn't know what they were doing and were more concerned about who was having what for lunch. SO JUST FYI: VERY BAD EXPERIENCE THERE-- WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.
  4. ATTN: ALL FCCJ SPRING 2008 R.N. STUDENTS Please visit this forum- https://allnurses.com/forums/f141/fccj-spring-2008-a-247412-new-post.html. I thought it would be helpful to have everyone posting to the same forum, so we could help each other address any questions or concerns that I'm sure each of us have. Quite a few of us have already started, so hope to see more people there! Congrats to us and to everyone that has been accepted into the program!!!! Woooooohoooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! :balloons:
  5. I found my packet! FCCJ called me to tell me that the post office had returned it because of an unknown address error. Who knows. Now that I officially know that I'm in the program.. I can breathe easy! Thanks to everyone that replied about the reservation date. I'm not sure about an insurance company that would help pay for shots. I have no medical insurance and my girlfriend who was in the program in '04 paid almost $500 for hers. Yikes! I'm going to contact DCHD (Duval County Health Department) for available clinics. For those of you in Clay visit this site- http://www.doh.state.fl.us/. For FINANCIAL AID my friend told me that there is a program called WORK FORCE, which pays for some of your expenses..... kind of like a grant I guess bc you don't have to pay it back. I'm not sure if FCCJ still uses it, but many of her classmates used it (she found out too late) and eliminated their costs tremendously! All you have to do is sign up and get a signature from your teacher every week to show proof of attendance. That's it! Sounds easy enough, right? I'm going to look into it further and keep y'all posted on that. As far as books go I've also received advice on whether or not to buy now or later. For the beginning of the term you would definitely want to buy ALL of your textbooks because we will be using them the first day of class. I guess you could wait on the others until our teachers tell us which ones we could do without.
  6. Oh my gosh! I have to work from 8am to 8pm for the remainder of the week. Do you happen to know when that date would be for reserving your spot???
  7. I have yet to receive anything from FCCJ. They told me they mailed out the letters last Thursday. Weird. Is anyone else waiting for their letter? :/ Wow, I've never heard of the 150% rule........ Try looking for other methods of aid tho. Don't give up! Scholarships and so forth. I know that there were a few other options in getting FREE aid. I'm gonna look into it and fill you guys in when I get a chance. Best of luck, TDA88
  8. My friend had the same problem when she was admitted into the program in Fall '04. First they sent her a rejection letter and then the next day she got an acceptance letter. She almost had a heart attack. I'm sure there are more stories just like that! Anyway, congratulations!!!!! Btw, is the cut off really 176? Crrrrazy. That's the lowest I've heard of since forever ago.
  9. Yeah, I've been waiting for a reply from them since the beginning of this month and I have yet to receive any feedback. Oh well. I'm just glad we have this website!
  10. This might be a dumb question- I know the night program was available for Fall 2007, but I was just wondering if it was available for Spring 2008.... I think I vaguely remember reading something about it being available only once a year. Is this true? Also, how many seats are available for Spring term? And I've read that some of you have taken the NAT twice. In terms of points- will students be penalized for taking it more than once?
  11. does anyone have any useful info that they would like to share with those applying for FCCJ SPRING '08??!? just wondering cus i've tried contacting the nursing department via e-mail and they have yet to get back to me. anyway, if you do have some info.... please do share! :)
  12. does anyone have any useful info they'd like to share with those applying for Spring '08? i've tried contacting the nursing department via e-mail, but they haven't replied back. hm.
  13. Yikes... that's cutting it real close! :/ haha Thanks for the response though! Hopefully I'll see you next term :)
  14. judging by everyones total points... 'm probably in for a huge disappointment. i'm applying with only 184 points under my belt and everyone in here seems to have 200+. i know fall 2007's cutoff was 179. i'll be crossing my fingers and toes for the next few weeks! good luck to everyone applying for SPRING 2008!
