  1. Yep, taking 105 and 106. They say that the worst part is the Fluids, Electrolytes and Acid Based Balances test. The instructor gave us a break this semester and didn't start with that, we are starting with module C instead of A. Wish I only had that many clinicals! We have 12 for 106 and 6 for 105 so we have 18 all together!!! And they wonder why so many fail out of the course!!! How are we suppose to have time to study??? I also have my first test this Thursday!! Argggggg! I'm stressing already! LOL!
  2. Hi there! I'm Sandi and am currently in the ADN program at CACC. I'm just in my second semester so not quite where you are. Whew, that second semester they throw you right in there don't they??!!! Just started last week and already have clinicals starting this Wednesday. These are on the Transitional Care Unit so I don't have a clue as to what to expect. Anyway, nice to meet you, maybe I will run into you at school some time. Good luck in your last semester!!! Sandi
  3. Help please!! I have to write up anecdotal notes from my last clinical assignment and haven't a clue as to where to start! Everything I can google on them says they are one thing and my clinical instructor says they are another. She says they are notations of anything amusing that happen during the shift. Can anybody tell me where to start and how to go about writing this out? Any examples would be great!!! I am so confused and need help!!! Sandi
  4. Have you been studying for the Health Assessment test? I have been trying and don't really know what to study!! I tried just studying what Ms. C. said we needed to know but that seems like a lot is getting left out. They say if you fail the first semester it is usually due to Health Assessment and I don't know about you but I don't want to become a statistic!!!
  5. Actually, it was. You would think that a test that is so important wouldn't be a multiple choice test!! I was a little confused!! LOL! Are you in class with me at CACC?
  6. Ah, another Old Lady here, difference being you have already made it to the finish line and have that glorious piece of paper saying your are licensed!!! I'm just starting out in this game!! LOL! My clinicals are at Coosa Valley in Sylacauga. I'm not sure if they send any of our students to Shelby or not. I do know that a girl in my class works at Shelby though. We do go to Childrens, Russell, Aniston RMC and a few other places but they are trying to ease us into it this semester by letting us have them all in the same hospital since we only have 45 hours to do. On a good note, we had our first Dosage and Calculations test on Friday, and I made 100 on it!! WooHoo for me! One less thing to worry about!
  7. Hey there fellow class mates!! I'll help you put a face to a name. I'm the old lady that sits on the first row in the middle in Fundamentals with Nathan. You can't miss the grey hair!! LOL!! I made it through the first clinical yesterday and it wasn't that bad They instructor was great and kind of eased us into the whole process, gave us a tour of the hospital and everything else. I don't have another clinical till October 10th so I'll be scared all over again but then!! See you guys in class!! PS. I can't put a face to you two either, say howdy in class so I can know who I am talking too!
  8. I am in my first Semester of my first year of Nursing in the ADN program at CACC in Childersburg. I have my first clinical coming up this Wednesday and I am terrified!!!! Sandi
