  1. Yes indeed persistence does pay off. I got a job!!!!!!! They wanted someone with experience but were willing to train a new graduate. Not in the state I currently live in but hey that is ok with me!!:w00t::dncgbby: So very excited!!! Good luck to all. We can accomplish whatever we set our minds to.
  2. Just regular jobs I see posted even the ones that say experience required. Just had an interview yesterday with one of those in med/surg. as well as GN jobs.:)
  3. That is awesome news Icare!!! Congratulations
  4. Like many of you I have read over these posts and got that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach when I read there were no jobs for new grads to be found. I have gotten 5 job interviews and have gone on 3 so far. No job yet but the jobs are out there. Check out indeed.com and apply apply apply. I have applied in 4 different states and feel that is why I am getting responses. I always follow up with a phone call or e-mail. Dont give up there is hope and I think that things are starting to turn around a bit. Wish me luck I have two interviews to go and lots of applications still out
  5. PVT worked for me also. It would not let me get to CC page and I passed :)
  6. oh dear what have I gotten into then, I go for my new grad interviews next week!!! Can anyone out there give me some much needed advice about whether or not I am getting in over my head. What is the process to get in and pay scale that from what I gather not so good?
  7. Happy National Student Nurse Day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of you deserve some recogniton because of all the hard work you put in. Happy nurses week to all the nurses out there as well. :balloons::balloons::thankya::thankya::thankya: :flowersfo:monkeydance::clpty::WHCk::dncgbby::dncgcpd::clphnds::anpom::flwrhrts::stdnrsrck::urck::luvnltr::clphnds::an!:
  8. 24 once a year in the fall. ADN program at a community college:onbch:
  9. definatly have a back up plan to your origional as far as day care goes. If one daycare arrangement bails out on you then go to you backup arrangement. Rally together your friends, family, and neighbors if possible. Have as much support as you can stand. Now is not the time to go it alone and try to do it all yourself. Use your resources:hpygrp:
  10. 1.Please turn off your cell phone during lecture or put it on vibrate at least. When I sit right next to you it becomes a distraction especially during an exam! 2.If you worried more about what your doing and less about the girl across the room maybe you would hear the instructor when she has called on YOU! 3.Shut up! during lecture and listen more in lab 4.dont ask me questions during lecture and then just stare at me when the instructor calls you out. 5.Grow up this is not grade school 6. For the love of pete quit complaining about the instructors and just do the work! It is only 2 years of your life.
  11. These are all great these will help me so very much.:yelclap::w00t: cant wait to try these out.
