  1. I am an LPN and worked at a state hospital. Size was not a factor there because we recieved 3 week training on theraputic precautions, and we had "man-down" systems that we carried on us at all times. Our policy also was if you felt uncomfortable for ANY reason, take another person with you for protection. Mental Health patients can be intimidating at times, but working with them is very rewarding (it was for me anyways). Good Luck.
  2. Thanks for the responses~!!!
  3. Hi, I am new to this forum. I have been a LPN for 6 years now; was a CNA for 15 years. I just moved from Minnesota to Oklahoma and was wondering if anyone could answer my question; I would like to put an ad in the paper to advertise my services for homecare in my area. Aside from transferring my nursing license, do you need any other license or certification to do this? I know I would need my own insurance, but I am really unable to find anyone who can answer this. I called the board of Nursing today, but they couldn't give me an answer either. Any help would be appreicated!!
