  1. Hey, I just graduated in May,08 and have a goal to someday work with Cancer patients. Anyone else out there with the same aspirations? I also would love to work with Hospice. I hope I don't have to spend to many precious years gaining experience on a floor or in a speciality I dont really have a passion for.
  2. I live in Western Massachusetts, and the starting pay is $28/hr, but add $1.25/hr for second shift, another $1.25 for weekends, and $2.50/hr for 3rd shift. I expect to get hired in my local hospital, but it probably wont be the shift or floor I want. I will take whatever, but then transfer when my dream shift comes up. I still have to take the boards... end of June most likely.
  3. I am studying for NCLEX now too, and will be taking a review course with Linda Silvestri, who authored a Saunders exam book. How is Kaplan? My course, starting next week is mon-fri from 8am to 4pm. I am assuming it will help me. Lets wait and see.
