  1. Hey I start classes tomorrow too! I think its natural to be super nervous about something this important. Just hope to be able to keep up with everything I have a big family but I am not going to work while going to school. Best of luck to you ,we can compare notes after tomorrow!
  2. I start my lpn class on July 9. It is getting close and I am getting nervous. Hopefully I can use this nervous energy to get all the last minute things I want done finished. Oh and my program last for 11 months also, will graduate next June. Good luck everyone!
  3. Here in S. Oklahoma they start out around 8.50.
  4. Thank you so much. My family is a big source of strength and support for me. I wish you all the best with your little girl and nursing school.
  5. Hi, I am married 37 yo with 9 yep 9 kids. I just got my letter last week and I start classes July 9 and graduate next June. I also plan getting to RN and working L&D. I have been there many times so I feel I have lots of experience already, LOL. Nice to meet everyone and best of luck to you all.
  6. They are the same but in some states they are Licensed Practical Nurses and others call them Licensed Vocational Nurses.
  7. Congrats! I got my letter day before yesterday and I am still in shock! Everything has fallen in to place so perfectly. This is what I am meant to do! Keeping positive thoughts for all of those still waiting to hear.
  8. I just got my letter and I have been accepted! I think I am in shock!
  9. I am so happy for you! When do you start? Thanks for the positive thoughts.
  10. I would like to one day become an RN and work L&D, but in the meantime do you know of any LPNs that work L&D or maybe even for an OBGYN? I would like to get some experience along the way. Thanks!
  11. I will be crying either way, tears of joy or of disappointment. I would like to stay in the health field either way. There is a medical assistant class at the tech school I had thought about trying so I guess I can still do that if I don't get in. Keep your fingers crossed anyway I will be thinking about all of you for the next two weeks while waiting.
  12. Just wondering what everyones plans are if you don't get accepted. I don't know what to do. There are no more nursing schools I can apply to in this area and with my family ,traveling a long distance is just not in the cards right now. I may just go to work as a nurse aid since I do have that certification. Maybe I will work hard and get a bunch of bills paid off! Anyway hopefully it won't come to that and I will get the letter saying I got in. Tell me your ideas!
  13. I had my interview yesterday, have to wait 2 weeks now for the letter. That seems like such a long time!
  14. Thanks! I will send positive thoughts your way! Hopefully sometime in the next two weeks we can congratulate each other on getting in!
  15. :uhoh21:I finally went for my interview at the tech school where I applied. It was the most scared I can ever remember being about anything! Well maybe besides childbirth, but it ranked right up there. There were about 8 people asking me all the questions and I hope the answers I gave were intelligent, they were certainly honest! I was to scared to think up anything. Anyway now I have to wait 2 weeks for the letter. Send some positive thoughts and prayers my way, I really need this!
