Hi All! I need advice from fellow nurses on what steps to take next. I recently passed the NCLEX exam for New Jersey and I received mail from the Board requiring me to submit the ff: 1) copy of alien registration card, work authorization card, permanent resident card or other documentation issued by the Bureau of Citizenship & Immigration Services 2) copy of social security card I do not have any of these since I am still in the Philippines. What do i do now? How do I find an employer who will petition me? Do I need an agency? How do I find a legitimate one? Thank you!

Hi, ruiji29, I called the regional office of DOLE and they said they don't send CGFNS a list of retake passers so I went to PRC and asked them the same thing. PRC said it is DOLE who sends it ... what do you make of this??? Frustrating, no? So what I did was to accomplish the Request for Validation of License for Visa Screen and attached a certified true photocopy of the DOLE-issued certificate and had PRC validate it and sent it through courier. Additional expense of 1200 php for unfortunate june 2006 passers like us.

I have applied online for Visa Screen with my CP Certificate and IELTS as my qualification and I did not have to submit the requirements all over again. However, my online status says: License Validation Form from Phils was received but not accepted. I surmise it is because I passed the June 2006 local board. I have passed the retake exam in June 2007 and have on hand the DOLE-issued Certification. I emailed CGFNS & they told me they would only accept documents from PRC. My question is: Does PRC provide CGFNS a list of those who passed the retake of Tests 3&5? or do I have to go to PRC and have them accomplish the Request for Validation of Registration/License, pay the fee and the courier cost all over again?

I have just filed my application for Visa Screen. My dilemma now is deciding whether to pursue my reapplication for NCLEX with CA (having failed on my first attempt) or filing an initial application for licensure with NJ. I do not have an employer yet but I have family in NJ. I am considering Suzanne's advice about not applying for initial licensure with CA, but I want to know how long the process will take if I start all over again with NJ. How many months do I have to wait to get an eligibility? Likewise, would my CGFNS Certificate suffice for the CES requirement or do I have to apply for CES? Thank you!

I have passed CGFNS & IELTS this year, should I now apply for Visa Screen even if I have no employer and work experience yet? Please advise. Thank you!
