Hi--I agree with llg: choose based on quality of the education, NOT based on the fastest. Consider what school is best for L&D or Ped. Oncology; look at the hospital clinical sites, esp who the profs are (where did they study & what are their specialites; how qualified are they; what nursing models are they teaching from...just a few of the questions I could think of...you should make a list of things to ask) & visit the school & talk to counselors there if you can.

Hi; a couple of suggestions. First: Your Dx. is too complicated: keep it simple! Just list it as anxiety r/t surgery & unfamiliar (hospital) environment. Second: For Individualized Outcome: this has to be a measurable goal-directed statement that is client-centered. Something like, "client will verbalize a decrease in level of anxiety by the end of my shift" Not sure what Care Plan texts you're using, but I like this one a lot: Nursing Care Plans: nursing diagnosis & intervention 6th edition by Gulanick/Myers; publisher is Mosby/Elsevier. Hi; I did that same thing starting in 2006. I can empathize, however, you can make it work...hang in there! Here's what I did: I worked full time and went to school nights to become a CNA. This way I kept earning a paycheck while I got certified. It was tough, but worth it. I let my employer know I was going to school nights to become a CNA and would resign when I got certified & passed the state exam. She did not like the idea, but was supportive (she tried all kinds of things to get me to stay; I remained firm). Once I got my CNA, I went to work doing private duty home health. THis way, I was not overwhelmed with work while in pre-RN school; I could have flexible hours and study. Then, last year, I applied to an RN program and got accepted. I still do private duty on weekends and have income while I study. I am glad I made this choice--my fiancee and I also gave up our car so I could go back to school; that made things a little more difficult, but if you can look at ways to cut your expenses, it is helpful. Also look at PELL and other state grants for students, and consider a work-study option. Hope this is helpful! Let me know how it's going.
