Any LPN/LVN or ADN programs online?
Yes, it is a program in Texas that has the theory online and clinicals located near you. I think it is only for residents of Texas though. You do have to come to campus for an interview once you apply and then again for checkoff for Health Assessment.

Any LPN/LVN or ADN programs online?
LOL!! You are too funny! No need to apologize, I needed to laugh. Anyway, I called the school and I only have until February 15 to study and take the HESI exam. Even though that leaves over a month, I am still cutting it close and will have to do well on my first try. No room for error! I might still take the test just in case other schools require it. Thanks for the information LunahRN!

Any LPN/LVN or ADN programs online?
Hello, I am looking for LPN/LVN or ADN programs that have the didactic completely online but the clinicals can be done in my hometown of San Antonio, Tx. It is ok if the schools are in other states because the only schools like that here in the state don't have clinical spots until 2013. Due to personal issues I can't make it to classes in person because it is five days a week 9-5 but would be able to do clinicals two to three times a week. I am not a CNA but have 9 years experience performing the duties of a CNA. I am not looking for LPN-ADN bridge programs just strictly online LVN OR ADN programs. Please do not respond that there are no completely online programs and clinicals need to be completed in person. I am well aware of that fact and am only looking for the theory portion to be online and the clinicals to be completed with a preceptor at a clinical spot of my choice near me without traveling out of town. I hope you have some information that can help me.

Allied Health Institute
mamayogibear, i have personal experience with that school as i went there for their medical assistant program. even though i didn't go for any of the programs you mentioned, i thought i would share my experiences. donaldj offered some great advice. it really is a waste of money to do the pct program as you will go into debt for a job where it is hard to make the money to pay back that debt. as for the school, i have no complaints. the advisors were great and the teachers were awesome. after going into over $9k worth of debt (really over $14k but i had a grant) if i had the chance to do it over again, i wouldn't do it. i know it's my own fault for not researching the oversaturated medical assistant field in my area and then due to failing health i had to withdraw. now i have no degree and am in major debt. again, i don't blame the school for my troubles because i found the school to be great and easy. i would stick to the community college or hospital training programs. another bit of advice, do your research and look at the jobs being offered in your area. are phlebotomists oversaturated? the potential to make good money is there but again please, do your research. (i'm not yelling, just trying to place emphasis on that point. ) don't be like me and end up with a significant amount of debt. to sum it up, the quality of education was fantastic. should you decide to go to this school anyway, go for phlebotomy since it is both online/residential. financial aid covers books, supplies (if applicable), and tuition. i can't answer the last few questions you had as i did the medical assistant program. good luck with your search and your future endeavors. god bless!

Kennedy Review Center (lpn Program)
Hi Shinyfeet, I decided against it because although I am a US citizen, I would have to spend two months in the Philippines to do my clinicals. By the way, I am referring to Kennedy Global School of Business, not Kennedy Review Center. I don't know what is required of KRC. I know a girl that knows somebody that graduated from Kennedy Global and was able to take her boards for the practical nursing. She too was a US citizen. I'm still checking what else is out there besides these schools. I will let you know if I find something else. :) Anya16

Omnibus Internatonal Colleges Foundation
Hello, I wanted to get in touch with Americans who have gone through the Omnibus International LVN or ADN program. I see that it's TESDA and CHED accredited. What attracted me to the program was the fact that it's much cheaper than other schools. I am from Texas and I see that some of the clinicals are done here. If you have gone through this program or know someone who has, please reply back. I saw some of the threads on this program and wanted to know if I would be able to sit for boards after doing this program. I don't want to waste my time or money on a program that wouldn't allow me to become an LVN or ADN. Thanks! :)

Can I still be a nurse?
delphiniumRN, Yes, I was referred out and that's why I have two doctors. The next time I go to the doctor I'm going to get my primary diagnosis.

Can I still be a nurse?
Lovenandj, that's great news for me to hear that no one asked you about your mental health. It means there is hope for me. I hope no one will ask me as well.

Can I still be a nurse?
Hello, I was in nursing school in 2006 before my world fell apart in 2007 and I was diagnosed with four major mental illnesses. Since then I have been hospitalized multiple times and been diagnosed with two other mental illnesses on top of the previous four. Can I still be a nurse even though sometimes my mental disorders cause me to become suicidal and homicidal? My friend said that since I have been in the hospital, my doctor will have to sign a declaratory order in order for me to take the NCLEX-RN. When I talked to my doctor, he said he wouldn't sign it because I am a danger to myself and others. Does this mean my dreams to become a nurse are over? Is there really a declaratory order for my doctor to sign? Does having a mental illness bar me from being a nurse? Right now, I am under the close care of two doctors and am vigilant in taking my meds.

University of South Alabama
hello, i agree with mdferit. i would not tell anyone to go to this school including my worst enemy. i moved out of state to attend this school in 2006 and i regret going there to this day. the teachers really don't care about the students at all. back then, the teachers wouldn't teach. they would read off the powerpoint slides word for word everyday. that is something that could be done at home not come to school to heard something verbatim. and don't even bother asking for help. i have so many horror stories to tell about this school including the dorms at the mobile campus. so if this school is the same as it was back in 2006, then look elsewhere and save your time and money because it's not worth it.

I am from the United States and was interested in the Kennedy Global School of Business independent LPN program. I would like to hear from current or past students of this program. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks! Anya 16 :)

St. Philips College in San Antonio
No, I still haven't found anything out about St. Philips. All I know is that it is a better deal then Career Point College or Texas Careers. Those schools are very expensive!
